McCarthy kicked 3 1st half goals. Kersten got a couple.

This time last year Freo were 0-6. In 2017, freo have 3 wins from 6 games without a 34 year old Pavlich, 31 year old dawson and a 31 year old Danyle Pearce

The goal he got on McGovern made McGovern look silly when he needs to be accountable, and showed very smart forward craft: Constant movement, twists back on him self and then a lead to the space in the pocket.

Conor Blakely has improved each game and I thought he was outstanding. kept spewy quiet early while getting ball then got moved into a loose tag on Mitchell it looked like and racked up plenty of ball

It was glad to see the commetators mention and highlight lachie weller chase on josh hill in the 3rd the game was over by then but it was good to see that the young guys have that defensive work rate.

Also connor blakely is getting better by the week and seems to have fixed his disposal as well as getting a lot of it and is slowly getting his body hardened to handle the inside grunt work in the midfield.

After taking care of the Bombers this week we just need GWS to knock off the Saints & the Hawks to beat the Dees to get us in the 8. Don't think anyone would of predicted that after the Port game.

We only have 2 games at the MCG this year (vs Rich and vs Melbourne) and we've won both of them. 100% success rate at this ground for the home and away season.

Not a bad stat if we are going to play finals this year.

Something supporters might find surprising considering the turnovers we make with serial offenders like Ibbo and Sutty etc ,we are actually the number one team in the comp for disposal efficiency(75.6%) according to the AFL stats. Ahead of all teams including our down town rivals ( 7th position) who i would have thought were more efficient in their disposal.
