I'm positive this post will be deleted but I am looking forward to the end of the season.

It'll be good to rest and recover from the stress of watching this team week in and week out.

It is sad when the season feels like this but genuinely don't feel like going to the next home game which is pathetic but I have more interesting things to do than watch 5 and 7 goal games!!!

I guess Walters injury was the straw that finally broke my enjoyment of watching this team.

Sean Darcy. That tackle.

As soon as his name was read out, us obsessives checked the phantom drafts and he was no where. Then we watched the videos and saw an overweight kid who (supposedly in hindsight) dominated because he was bigger than the other skinny 17 year old ruckmen he was coming up against. It was an appropriate time for a melt saying we should have picked up another forward (was battle available?).

What we missed was his soft hands. Some rucks have hard hands such as Sandi, lots of tap wins but not much in terms of clean breakaways but Darcy has soft hands and can control the ball. Reminded of Michael Gardiners' soft hands, forgive me, but all in all they nailed that pick.

People overuse and misuse the term a moneyball pick but Darcy is a moneyball pick. Looks ugly, assumptions are made and yet we bought him at a higher price than other teams would have paid and got value.

Hamling is recruit of the year as far as im concerned. Bit of an unsung hero outside Freo and its pretty incredible that he's only played 40 career games. Darcy will go down as one of the bigger draft steals in recent years. outrageously good for a 19 year old ruckman.

Logue showed some exciting signs and demonstrated to me that his ideal position will be as a 3rd tall. Ethan Hughes is quietly developing into a very good player too.

Connor Blakely is already comfortably one of the best in his draft class and has been arguably our most consistent player after Hamling this year.
