apparently my comments were not positively positive....though the coach has agreed with them
but deletion is humbling....thats positive

Plus tigers had 4 players out of the best team.Don't let the Victorian media confuse you. Carlton were exceptional for 10 minutes and then largely terrible for the rest of the game. Kicked extraordinarly accurate to score 15.4 of which 4 goals were from encroachment 50s.
They conceded 70 i50s and 36 shots on goal. They are not going as well as everyone seems to think. They were supposed to add the attacking layer on top of their defensive one. Seems to me they just flat out replaced it.
That said, they have some out and out gun young players.
I needed this.took some digging but may as well bump this one too.
Cerra and Brayshaw look the goods, noticeably improving each week imo.
Cox kicked a goal in his 1st game of the year, impressive when you consider it was one of only 4
Fyfe will probably win another Brownlow this year
We play the Saints at home next week and they're even worse than us. winning that sees us at 4&4 after 8.
One week closer to having Hill/Sonny/Tabs et al back in the side.
We don't have to play Richmond again

Are we actually sure that this is a good thing?
I wouldn't be totally upset with us wearing some loses against teams like stkilda, Brisbane etc. Would love to get Lukosis or one of the King twins.
....until September [emoji41]
5 /5 at the bye and have Bennell, Walters, Hill, Logue, Tabs and Darcy fit for the run home.
That's ambitious.....until September [emoji41]
I agree about Cox but I just think Apeness would give us the presence we lack.As much as I've still got hope that Ape will make it, a forward line with Tabs, Cox and Cam Mac has some appeal. Let Tabs use his tank and roam up the ground with Cox as the deepest forward. The pack mark he took early in the third shows what he's capable of. His defensive efforts still need (a lot of) work but a bloke that can clunk a pack mark is worth persevering with. He also seems better in the ruck than Tabs.
I've posted it elsewhere but the list of kids we played today should have us all salivating. We are playing the kids and they're showing enough to make me think we're on the right track.
Not worth the culture hit.Are we actually sure that this is a good thing?

I actually thought he was good with ball in hand. The pause until an option presented for Cam's goal was excellent.Cox seems to have an issue getting the ball on quickly. He needs better awareness.

What bothers me about him is the fact he looks like he is just jogging around most of the time. The football part of him is great, the athletic side just looks lazy. Could just be the way he moves, not sure.

I want to believe that because it make me feel better.Probably more just the way he moves. Mundy is the same.
Yeah this is how I feel. Hopefully he gets the message as to what is required.I can't figure out whether he lacks workrate (lazy) or whether he tends to become a spectator when he's not directly involved. One particular defensive "effort" today when his chase was little more than a token jog was very ordinary. I'm sure he'll be given the appropriate feedback.
I really hope he manages to grasp the level of desperation required to be competitive at AFL level because his leap and hands could make him a weapon.
