They’re flying straight to Perth.I think that 2nd half is very underrated by quite a few on here. 9.8 - 4.5 & our run from the back half was as exciting as a lot of stuff we did last year. Our skills were up, our decision making was so much better & we had a functioning forward line because of the quick ball movement.
This week we have an opposition who have 1 less days break, coming off playing a very contested game on a big wet soggy oval then having to fly home & then fly again to Perth.
We played on a postage stamp ground in reasonable conditions in a relatively bruise free game & the players were on the couch at home watching them play this evening.
No Excuses, let’s run them off their feet.
We simply have to win this week to even have a chance of still saving the season. Hoping they can bottle that second half and take it into this gameI think that 2nd half is very underrated by quite a few on here. 9.8 - 4.5 & our run from the back half was as exciting as a lot of stuff we did last year. Unfortunately its a stand alone friday night game so I think we know how this is going to goI think that 2nd half is very underrated by quite a few on here. 9.8 - 4.5 & our run from the back half was as exciting as a lot of stuff we did last year. It's our Len Hall tribute game too, it's probably my fav round. We have had decent success in it in recent times, hopefully that trend continuesI think that 2nd half is very underrated by quite a few on here. 9.8 - 4.5 & our run from the back half was as exciting as a lot of stuff we did last year. There was one instance where we had a series of plodders chasing a bulldog onto their forward fifty who couldn’t catch him, then Sturt flashed into the picture and scragged him. Very fast.Sam Sturt kicking goals and getting stuck into Lobby which I didn't see coming.
Most of us have known it for some time but Jonno is going to be a ripper! Did some wonderful things last night and the only really blight was a missed shot on goal. I'm certain that it's the plan but we now need to be stepping up his involvement in the game.
And kicking is his strength. Going to be a ripperCurrently has the best hands in the team…his hand balling out of congestion is something
I've found one.
I think we have the right type of forwards required for Don Pyke to reproduce something like his Crows (sans the camp).
- Tex -> Amiss
- JJ -> Jackson
- McG -> Sturt
- Lynch ->Corbett
- Cameron -> Freddy
- Eddie - TBA
I'd take getting belted by Richmond in a GF after standing around like ****s before the game over what we are dishing up now.
Graham, Boyd and Joel Corey?When you look at the Sydney coaching box in recent years, there are heavyweight AFL people everywhere. Longmire, pyke, Cox, Stevie J, a few others.
I notice Melbourne teams always have the likes of Ratton and Bolton and others with senior coaching experience in their backroom teams even if they aren’t proven successful senior coaches.
Ours is Micky mouse by comparison. Few old mates of JL. That’s it.
