In line with a commitment to search for positives:
Treacy is a positive to come out of the season. Kicked a nice long goal with authority on the weekend. More of that, with his burst of pace up the field and improved core strength and positioning... we have at least a solid B grader and a sometime A grader running around with the future HOF forward and a top three mid/fwd.
If we can then add a small forward with class we will have a very, very good forward line.

100% He's doing easily good enough in his 3rd season to give confidence he's a long term player.
He has a heap of development in him and I am looking forward to his growth over the next 30 games. We will have a group of youngsters all hit the 50 game mark around the same time.

Positive: Every position we drop on the ladder pushes everyone but the Dees and the bottom 3s 1st rounder back 1 position. Given Melbourne's time at/near the top will probably end soon, this is good for us.
Been away so I missed the last 3 games.
In saying that the draft is just about stuffed the last few years. Teams finishing 5th or 6th bottom and ending up with the 11th or 12th best talent after all the bids come in.
The system is completely broken if you ask me. I see north looking to add Ryley Sanders to their NGA now too.
You can see why Hawthorn cleared out all their mature players and targeted a bottom 2 or 3 finish now.
Having a battling season and finishing 12th like us and St kilda did repeatedly during our rebuilds only damages your club.

Yes I was thinking that too - with his kicking like that was thinking that maybe he should spend some more time at half forward to mix it up.

We played three quarters of good footy I guess that’s a positive. It was also nice having such a spread of goal kickers - even if a few more of them should have been multiple goal scorers
I came out of that game feeling ok
Usually momentum killing bulls*it umpiring decisions in the first quarter let them pike in scoreboard pressure but the boys stuck fast
If our skills and confidence to execute at speed catch up with the willingness to take the game on , watch out
