Is it possible that we......didn't over pay for Jacko??!!
Value wise yes. From a position of what we should have paid, the second on top was not needed and would have been handy this year for us.

I mean sure, but it's not really a flank role
This just seems like such a reductive view on what he does when playing well. I'd agree we need to get him more than 1 position but you can have link up players in the middle, every team has them.
Is it if the other players are Young, Jackson, Serong and Darcy? They don’t all need to be winning clearance. I would like to see him develop other positions but putting as a primary flanker role is a no go for meandy doesn’t win many clearances…that’s a problem

Definitely an upgrade on Aish, but where do we play NOD if Andy, Henry and Stanley are on the wings?id play him on a wing personally.
use the gut running ability.
Henry or Stanley on one wing, Andy on the other
NOD could definitely develop into an inside mid.Definitely an upgrade on Aish, but where do we play NOD if Andy, Henry and Stanley are on the wings?
Wouldn't you then be singling out whoever has taken his role in the midfield for not winning clearances?id play him on a wing personally.

NOD needs to lift significantly next year. Playing at WAFL standard this season at best, injuries haven’t helped but it’s a big off season coming up for himDefinitely an upgrade on Aish, but where do we play NOD if Andy, Henry and Stanley are on the wings?

Yeah that’s a premiership midfield trio. The Young move makes that midfield trio work like it was meant to. He's the Cerra replacement but with a bit more mongrel. Brayshaw/Young/Serong is the starting midfield for the next 10 years and they all compliment each other really well in there
Johnson and Erasmus will be there to raise the Cup tooYeah that’s a premiership midfield trio.
Yeah I think Brayshaw will go through there. Would rather that wasn't his primary position though. The other boys need to take it off him as soon as possible.
Whatever has happened, (I imagine teams worked out our small midfield can be bullied) Brayshaw has been relegated to standing behind his opponent and tackling. There is no way that should be happening just to keep him inside mid as his primary position. He is too valuable for that.weird dismissal of what andy brings to our team tbh, one of the best players last year averaging more clearances this year. its clearly the combo we have in there this year that isnt working, we looked great more often than not last year because we had mundy/brodie in there along side andy and serong rather than JOM (no offence Jags).
out of curiosity and not disagreeing but why IYO?'Andy to the wing' ffs it's not happening and nor should it.
That is a very narrow minded pov. His elite attributes are two way running, tackling and finding the ball. A midfield of Jom/Serong/Brayshaw is too small, slow and one dimensional. Brayshaw's elite attributes would easily translate to a wing and improve the midfield mix.'Andy to the wing' ffs it's not happening and nor should it.
Agreed. He literally won the Players MVP and was an All Australian as an inside mid just last year, I don't see why you change that.'Andy to the wing' ffs it's not happening and nor should it.
He never has torn up for Peel but he should. I see no reason why guys like Henry, Sturt, even Banfield, can tear it up for Peel but O'Driscoll can't.To be fair to Nod, he’s never torn up at Peel. He’s the type who will play as well at AFL level as he would in B grade amateurs.
You’d think they’re waiting on him to build fitness to run out a game as we are a much more dynamic team with him moving well & he offers something different to anybody else on the list.
