The possibility of Essendon innocence: a travesty of justice or conspiracy theory for the ages?

Thoughts? In your opinion, does this change the initial mainstream narrative about the Essendon drug saga?

Regardless of what you think of the club, Hird, Robinson or Dank, the players have been utterly stitched up.

- pushed back against the program to get clarity that it was in line with wada
- interviewed with asada without the presence of legal counsel on the basis that the investigation was about Dank, not about them
- names smeared in the press through a coordinated leak of exaggerated information and often complete untruths
- banned from the 2013 finals series after a 14 win season
- twice cleared by Australian tribunals in 2014 and 2015
- banned again in 2016 by a Swiss court based on a ‘strands in a cable’ analogy that has no legal precedent
- Dank and Robinson suffer no penalties
- Abused (both them and their families including children) publicly in the streets for being drug cheats

A stitch up and a disgrace.

Fair enough go the club, fair enough go the people in charge, fair enough to the blokes who did this at cronulla, GCS, Essendon and probably Geelong, but the players don’t deserve this miscarriage of justice.

They've had people digging for years in a bid to prove Essendon's innocence, and the best they can come up with is confusion over where TB4 is banned under the code? "Scientist Bob O'Dea"... is that like scientist Stephen Dank?

Not worth the time it took to read.

Maybe the AFL is considering withdrawing from WADA over the Rioli thing, and this (poll on Royal Commission etc.) is an attempt to discredit the doping authorities and curry public favour.

"Scientist" Bob O'Dea. In other words, the bloke who has been running a conspiracy angle, who presents his information on youtube wearing an Essendon members top and dabbles in alternative medicine. Finishes his presentation with "Go the Mighty Bombers".

Can't find him in Google Scholar. Can't find a paper that he has written.

Scientist, my arse.

Lol nice find. I think the only one who’s been stitched up here is Robbo.

This came out last night. It's taken until 9:30am until someone bothered to post about it on bigfooty. There's like 18 posts an hour later.

Safe to say no one cares about Mick Warner's scoop on sloppy website administration.
Come on mate new.com.au is at the forefront of journalism. Your broadside attacking their professionalism is outrageous....

Anyway, someone needs to give the Essendon fan base a voice. This is the perfect forum with which to defend their club. :)
