Must clubs might chase him but when a player comes out and states his preferred club then he won't change. Ottens has made his decision and is now off overseas. Sure the Tigers could force him into the draft but what's the point. If you wanted to keep him then you would have just agreed to pay him the same as this year. If you re select him he gets what he wanted all along (according to Tigers fans money) + you lose a 1 draft pick.
Lets face it, 95% of the time when a player states he wants to go to club Y he ends up getting there.
Ps I'm not saying you will get screwed with Ottens just don't waste too much of your time negotiating with other club supporters
