edwards already has a huge tank, he was 1 of the best in the draft camp when he was there i think it wa something like 15.4 or something.
just needs to put another 5kgs so he can make tackles stick & break tackles.
You're exactly right, he had the record in his year for beep test and something else, a jump of some kind can't remember.
The fact he ran out for 22 games is testament to his endurance. When I say a bigger tank, all I mean is I want to see him running slightly harder for longer which he will progressively do. Muscle or more to the point core strength is his biggest area of potential improvement. Needs to be able to break tackles round the hips as well as hit players coming out of packs. For all our improvement this year, tackling is still under par if we are to compete properly. Once players like Edwards show this pressure opposition mods will tire with exhaustion and the forward 50 will become a locked in zone for the ball.
Point 1 Stripey: Edwards' goals were not arsed. He has the ability to do the unbelievable.
Point 2: You're right about him tagging - smashed Scully second time round v Melb (until Melb got on top and Scully got a lot of last quarter ball).
Like I said, lots of potential as a running, outside tagger. They experimented with Rance the same way. Importantly, once he has extra weight he can push around, he should be now learning to help teammates break tags coming out of packs
I said arsed and freakish in the one sentence. I do believe he can do the unbelievable as you say, however I say arsed because, and I'm recalling one match this year where he got the ball in the pocket, fumbled and dodged 3 players then kicked it on the outside of his boot, he was freakishly unbelievable, but he got himself into the sticky situation from the first place haha
