A little outdated but this is an older snapshot of my Xbox 360 game collection

XboxG.png

That was from 2006 - 2011-12. Went full steam ahead and added another 150ish titles. From 2015-16 the collection basically stopped (got the occasional cheap physical title plus digital games). Also from an identical time frame (2006-2017 lets say), I purchased double the amount of digital games. Loved the 360, but over the years I've cleaned out the collection and don't have as many physical titles.

Count me in as someone who would love a full wall, floor to ceiling built-in bookcase setup. Maybe one day

In terms of shopping and if i had endless funds- watches and boots is what id spend it on.

Every color, shape etc... in both.
I have four mechanical watches (all but one family heirlooms) and it’s too many. I can’t wear them often enough to keep them ticking, and they’re painfully expensive to service.

Dad used to joke that you don’t inherit a watch - you are bequeathed maintenance costs.

There was a task on Amazing Race where they had to make something to do with a watch face- was extremely difficult iirc they underestimated it.

Do they tick? Or no tick.

If former id take a baseball bat to them sorry/not sry
Wife hates ticking
So that was part of the reason in getting rid of them
and a lack of mantles to put them on in Qld

The 2 I have left arent working
I will need a new house with a separate study to have them going in there

Yeah i cant stand ticking either. That, snoring, reversing truck.. all annoying af.

I had a great collection of Mad and Viz magazines which I left in my parents garage when I went overseas.

I came back a few years later and asked my Dad where my Mad and Viz magazines were? "Oh I threw all that stuff out".

He threw out all our old board games too, anything of sentimental value he threw out like our old Australian version of Monopoly.

I used to have a big collection of books but couldn't take them when I left Australia.. Actually I did try, I had a backpack full of books that was my cabin luggage when I left. I get it from my mum who at one stage in the late 90s counted 8,000 books she had... They were in boxes under beds and all over the house.

I don't collect shoes, but I'd probably have at least 40 pairs.... and 30 which I don't need. We will be leaving our current residence in the next month or 2 and I will thin than that down to 10-15 pairs.

My books are currently packed up, so the games collection is my addition to the thread. Top to bottom - top mainly kids games, middle main collection, bottom D&D and Magic the Gathering.

I cannot remember the last time I played a board game -not including backgammon.

I reckon it may have been Pictionary like 10 years ago. :thumbsdownv1:
Actually yeah its coming back now- i had to draw dignity and ended up splitting up with my wife.

I remember my cousin having a go at me for buying a $300 hair straightener. I had a srs go right back and savaged him for all the crap he buys/collects for his car- which from my POV is completely unnecessary and a waste of time. Not to mention way more than $300.

My point is- so what if you have a few more pairs of shoes that you dont really need. If you're maxxing out your CC Bradshaw style and not having enough for a deposit on a house bc of it tho- then that is not good.

Re women's shoes this is what you'd need at least. Standard anyway, i know some women dont wear heels:

- 3 x boots: 1 ankle with heel, 1 ankle flat, and one longer boot.
- High heels: Standard black, 1 higher black, 1 black peep toe, 1 nude, a couple bright colours. Kitten heel black for work.
- Runners x 2. 1 for gym, 1 casual
- 2 pairs of flats. Black and whatever colour
- 2 pairs of thongs; black and tan
- 2 pair of wedges; nude and black.

Sports shoes are the killer for me. Once you have a pair of joggers, a pair of tennis shoes, golf spikes, climbing shoes, sailing shoes, walking boots, ski boots...

90% of the time I rotate between three pairs of shoes, yet I still have a full wardrobe.

Reminds me of a story I heard last year - I went back to Tafe to study and change careers into the tourism industry (that seems a real smart decision right now...), but our teacher was telling us how she had a large collection of Disney movies on video and they were being stored in boxes in her parents shed. Her parents were having a clean up and got rid of all of them

She wasn't happy when she found out
