Agree with Stiffy in that you should check out early Queensryche, but other than the song I posted from their debut ep and perhaps one or two moments from their first album "The Warning"..power metal you will not find.

Perhaps "The Needle Lies" (from OM1) would be their last song to even remotely approach power metal??

PS: when you are sick of this shit chuck on some Immolation like a real man.

According to last.fm I have 1788 Immolation plays the past 1.5 years, think they will take a back seat for now whilst I indulge in the power metal.

Turisas, Alestorm, Firewind... Power metal is great if you can get past the cheese. Problem with the metal culture is that too many metalheads can't have a laugh at themselves.
