Yeah, we did.

PS: Can I stand up as the only supporter on this board who doesn't think we'll smash the Pies by 10 goals? It'll be a close, tight game IMO, and while I'm reasonably confident I wouldn't go overboard with the hoopla.

The pies supporters in the house are cocky as hell, accept the husband who knows what side of his bread is buttered on. Or should I say bed!! The son-in-law may find out pretty quickly too.

You are not the only one that is for sure. If there was one team in the whole competition that i would hate to lose too it is the filthy Collingwood Football Club.

Their supporters are seriously feral and i hate going to Collingwood games. With saying that, it would make it ever sweeter to beat the shite out of them.

Figured this thread would pop up pretty quickly.

I am confident about next week - I think we have them handled. We can't count out that famous magpie guts and determinaton, though. We have them covered in flair and class but they work hard and will be a tough opponent.

The thing that worries me is that last time around we beat them in every key match-up on the ground (with the exception of Cloke v Egan) and yet still only won by 16 points. Now, admittedley they're going to be knackered, whereas we're going to be a lot better off than we were in Round 15 (apparently we were still recovering from the Adelaide game)...but still, it'll be tight.

Your probably not alone, but from what I saw last night, they can't go with. 40+ win for us I'm tipping.

Can't see us winning. Collingwood never get smashed and we're only good when we're smashing teams. It will be close during the game and even if we're a goal or so in front we'll start to worry that we aren't smashing them like we've done to most teams this year and then we'll fall in a hole.

No pessimism on this board please. If you dont have faith in this bunch to bring home the flag when, exactly will you have faith in geelong? isnt finishing 3 games clear and smashing roos by 106 points in our first final enough for you?

Didn't play very well against them last time, our skills just didnt seem to be on that day, and while that can usually be due to pressure and the pies do apply good pressure I'm talking about lazy mistakes.

Scarlett played a blinder on Rocca and Cloke played a Blinder on Egan, so Egans omission is not huge. Milburn did a massive job on Petrie last week and Harley is capable of playing on him also.

To me, Didak and Rocca are the most dangerous forwards, we have always seemed to struggle against quality small forwards and Rocca when playing well lifts the crowd and team.

Fraser played a great game last time, especially against Blakey, Otto needs to ruck a lot of the game.

Watching last weeks reactions after each goal and you could just see the boys are hellbent on playing well and giving their all. If we do that we can win and win well.

You're not the only one, I think it'll be very tight too.
me too I have said several times the margin will be under 3 goals. I was very impressed with how malthouse coached the last 2 weeks. He got the best out of his men and his tactics against the swans were awesome. They will come out swinging and I know our lads will be prepared for it.

Just tag Thomas, Didak and Pendlebury out of the game.
All three played really well last week and have silky skills.
Do like we did against the Roos when we took Wells, Harvey and Grant out of the game. Mistakes start to creep in if the less skillful players have the ball.

I think this will be close too. Around the 3 goal margin, we should win, but since when has that counted for anything in finals?
