The pity is, most of the NRL games have been better than the AFL ones.

I can understand if Penrith fans didn't go, but Cronulla doesn't seem that far, but of course I don't know exactly what's involved in getting there.

Sydney has let the team down this year so it isn't a big surprise, but it is a major cause for concern.

Yeah, they could have pre sold that game into Shark Park which has a capacity of 22,000. It annoys me that the Storm get to play finals at AAMI yet we have to play at in a stadium that is only quarter full. Maybe the NRL have an agreement with the Allianz Stadium Authority? If you cannot attract numbers you can at least create atmosphere.

Footnote: The fact that 40,350 attended the Swans v GWS Elimination Final at the SCG last week makes last night's turn out even more embarrassing for the NRL.
