GWS and Brisbane are by far the best teams going around, followed by Geelong and potentially a fit Collingwood.
GWS were favourites from Opening Round to Round 7 and then Sydney were favourites from Round 8 onwards.I think last year Swans were outright favourites for most of the season
Carlton may have been original favourite
Agree with this.Cats lost by 10 points in a Prelim to the reigning Premiers, we’re in front with 2 minutes to go as well.
I don’t think we are far off them and we beat them earlier in the year at the Gabba convincingly
Brisbane ran over the top of them in the second half of that prelim- something that seemed to happen to the Cats regularly last year, so I don’t see them deserving of the flag at all.Agree with this.
The cats should have won the flag last year. Muffed the last quarter of the prelim and would have throttled the swans the next week.
They deserve to be regarded as strong contenders this year.
Apart from the Grand Final, only twice were Geelong ahead at half time and lost the game. So I’m not sure where you are getting this view from.Brisbane ran over the top of them in the second half of that prelim- something that seemed to happen to the Cats regularly last year, so I don’t see them deserving of the flag at all.
It’s probably the St Kilda game end of the year where they totally faded out, almost inexplicably. Lasting impression in my mind that I wasn’t suprised when the same happened against the LionsApart from the Grand Final, only twice were Geelong ahead at half time and lost the game. So I’m not sure where you are getting this view from.
Hard to argue with any of this.Injury will play a part.
Fully fit and it’s the Pies for me.
Houston, Perryman and Membrey will be huge additions and they have the best midfielder in the comp.
