Why is it not the right time? We both acknowledge our season is done. Why not get ahead of the 8-ball and get started?

We don't need to be giving a running commentary of what's happening behind the scenes. What would it achieve?
Just pandering to the impatient amongst our supporters who have a very myopic view of what's happening.

The other, regarding the Pies was not related to performance

While Buckley is out of contract at the end of the season, and his position is in jeopardy, it is not an element of the wideranging review which will focus on the future of the whole club rather than current performance.

Buckley’s job will be reviewed separately by the club in the normal course of evaluating the football department.

Announcing a review is hardly a running commentary.

The club should be providing advise to members of its strategy, at a very high level.

It's difficult not to be myopic when such little information is shared with club custodians.

On the Carlton show Bazz mentioned he chatted with MLG, then throughout the show dropped a few hints about what is likely happen, mostly around a review going on within the club. He said the club isn't happy with the medical team or the match committee and to expect some change in the assistant coaching team.

Those are the specifics he mentioned, he also hinted that it will be a bigger review than just those.

What part of the following quote are you finding difficult to understand?:

“We are going to have a full review of the football department,” McGuire told Triple M.

So if it looks like we are going to a review, why is the Pres just telling some people, and not just telling all members?

Lloyd trying to goad Tom Elliott to do something about it.

I'm not sure if anyone here has watched the latest season of homeland, but with the media's current attempts to destabilize our rebuild, the political term "useful idiot" definitely came to mind regarding the Elliott's.

I don't think it is appropriate to talk about people's jobs while the season is still going. We still need them to perform those jobs. Maybe MLG didn't want that revealed on air just yet.

That's a pretty fair question.

Maybe waiting for the off-season, as of when the review will actually take place?

Perhaps TCC is the vehicle in which he'll get the message out these days.

Yet Buckley's position would be reviewed via its normal mantra? Does that not seem surprising, given they announced a "review of the football department"

That's great for the Pies, does that mean that every other club has to conduct business in that manner?

Cookie, pointless cherry picking, each club does business it it's own way. Like most businesses, the reviews are ongoing/periodic (Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly etc).

Plus: So in the whole time McGuire has been President they have only reviewed the club 4 times?

The review will be the fourth undertaken by the Pies under president Eddie McGuire, who suggested on radio on Wednesday morning that “every line of the place” will be put under the microscope.

Think we will be fine

How many times have we undertaken a full review in the same time? Ill wait

I'm not sure of the answer there, but he is talking about one president and what has happened under his watch. Our president has not been in place for 20 years like Eddie. MLG has been president for 4 years and is having his first all of club review. He's ahead of schedule on McGuire's timeline.

Perhaps prior to engaging Bolton and SOS?

Perhaps like the Pies, each phase is analyzed along the way, then a review at the end of that phase?

McGuire has been there for 20 years and they have done 4 reviews, 1 every 5 years?

Do you have a link to this.
Also who exactly is Bazz and has it been verified by any other source?

Hopefully people will be happy that we are conducting a review, for some reason i get the feeling they still won't be happy with the outcomes

Nobody is happy with outcomes unless it is exactly the outcome they want. Problem is there are probably a dozen competing outcomes so a whole lot of people aren't going to be happy.

Along with the competing outcomes, there are those who will just keep moving the goalposts so they can continue to run a negative agenda against the club.
