The states I highlighted have achieved great outcomes like WA. So to that point in time, there was no difference in fact some states had a better record than WA.

The only difference now is many states are opening up and thus unfair to benchmark. That's why I say wait 12 months.

So yes my post has stood the test of time and yes a slam dunk as you highlight
Weve had zero locally transmitted deaths whilst having the best economic conditions in 5 or 6 years.

Zero.

In other words the best thing to do would be stay the course and keep the borders shut.

Problem is that is inconsistent with his locked in open date of Feb 5, so now with zero news on g2g that'll be used to let the least amount of people as possible by continued rejections.

That way he saves face and keeps the border shut open.

Win win.
There was clearly a message there, but in essence it was a political salvo.

Intrastate borders and masks and proper social
Hygeine can help.

Not with Omicron, they'll do sfa. Once it's in it's in.

Nup the only way around this is to keep the border shut, which in effect is what will happen - it'll be open but fk all and no one will be able to come in.

Like you said earlier, workers and family and only if they meet the criteria of vaxx (probably boostered as well) and a pcr test before departing from wherever they're departing.

That last one is going to be a problem isn't it! For some time at least.

The balance between the two is almost impossible to manage given the current state of the hospital system in WA. Lucky I dont have to make those decisions but lets see what happens after Feb 5, im guess there will be lockdowns :)

We all will have the benefit of the experience with Omnicron across the other States before ...

About a week or so ago, RATs were banned in WA with a $20k fine for those who used or procured them.

Now the WA govt is complaining the feds haven’t sent WA sufficient supply of RATs.

Par for the course ... everything is always someone elses stuff up :'(

Well the Feds, Hands on Faith, in fact has screwed up big time since the Ruby Princess.
Even this morning he was blaming the rest of the world for getting all the RATS.
Like the vaccines previous, he was sitting on his ample fat arse doing SFA. But hey ,welcome to Scotty's marketing ploys.

Looks like it's States responsibility to procure RATS and they were banned in WA till last week anyway.

Guess I'm desensitised having lived through Melbournes eradication failure. Would not want to wish that on Collingwood supporters (joke ... ).
Good luck needed & plenty of it.
