I think I've mentioned this before. But I might as well bring it up again in light of the whole state guernsey discussion.
I reckon these slogans are now pretty antiquated. The Adelaide Football Club is no longer the pseudo-state side it was when we entered the competition.
They should be junked for at least a couple of reasons:
a) Such slogans smack of arrogance in a two team state. Not that I really give a toss what Port fans think, but there's no point pretending to be something we're not.
b) Why limit our appeal to SA? With the potential to draw fans from other states as well (heck maybe overseas too), such catchcries are needlessly insular and could well be limiting our attractiveness to non-South Australians.
And I'm not saying this because I live in NSW either. I remain as parochial a South Australian as ever.
