Ronnoe Wearmouth stole the show but yes Kennedy was a very underrated actor as opposed to Jack Thompson who IMHO opinion is the actors equivalent of Jack Watts
Jack thompsons gift to acting was his ability to pull off the role of being with two sisters as a triple - apparantly he lived with two sisters.
Thats some role

To South of the Yarra, I just want to pass on my appreciation for your retrospectives, and to say that I hope you keep it up.

I was in another thread just before where one of the posters expressed ignorance about the 1990 GF, and suggested that (having been born in 1992) it meant nothing to him. The world seems less inclined to remember its past these days, but I reckon that a sport like football depends upon the transmission of stories about things which happened before. What does 'Collingwood' mean, if it has no connection to the past?

For myself, I think that these stories are more important than ever. In an age where clubs are becoming 'destinations' and 'bidders', Collingwood's heritage and its culture are something which we should be proud of, and they're things which should hold us in good stead is the current 'marketplace'.

Thanks.
Wonderfully put.
Yes, the series is a wonderful look at past stars, wonderful footballers.
We have a great past... And we are all aiming for a wonderful future

When I arrived back at my office after the selections had been supposedly finalised, I received a phone call from Rose telling me that McHale, who had said little at the meeting, wanted no part of Todd in the team. I was shocked but in the end any objection was useless. A Collingwood man carrying the name McHale was always going to have his way. I was informed that Todd had been replaced by Weideman.

This sentiment towards Todd was a family hangover from 1940 when Jock McHale was one of many Collingwood officials angered by Todd's decision to leave for a much more lucrative package at VFA club Williamstown.

Todd, who received £500 to sign for Williamstown, was understandably miffed that he received as little as £65 a season when he passed the century mark for Collingwood in 1938 and 1939.

For me, given my obsession with Victoria Park, I really enjoy the footage of our dear old ground in the movie, The Club. Its effectively a film archive of the place, circa 1980. Precious stuff.

On that note, did anyone see Robbo trip up Bucks during the year on AFL 360? Robbo asked him if he'd ever seen Geoff Hayward play, and Bucks fell for it, mumbling something about seeing footage. The Great Man stumbled badly on that one. Hayward was the fictitious gun recruit in The Club, on which our hopes rested. A bit like Adam Treloar today.:D

And nathan mentioned in the next opportunity that he was too proud to just say he wasnt sure about what robbo was saying.
The actor named john howard. Like the former Pm. but for me not much of an actor.
Great shame vic park was never developed to a bigger ground as its a good inner city location.
But thats never going to happen now.
