Blue is often associated with Royalty...Blue blood etc yada yada yada.
BUT!...Blue is bad. Repeat that...BLUE IS BAD!!
When you feel depressed, you are feeling blue. When you are in a fight, you are in a blue. Indeed, the term "Blueballs" speaks for itself!
Elvis lamented the Blue Christmas....Not a green Christmas...A goddamned blue one!!! How many songs lament "blue"?....they even made a genre about it!!

Now contrast this with purple....Soothing colour. Warm colour. Eases your troubles, like a bridge over troubled waters. Indeed, did Hendrix sing about a blue haze?..Nah it was a purple one. Purple Rain. Deep Purple. Even a purple patch. Purple is good.. Repeat!..."PURPLE IS GOOD!"

Big game here for both teams. We need to consolidate our top 8 chances, those blue baggers are trying to improve and seem to be doing so.
I am a bit sad to see Cripps is out, was looking forward to seeing a match up with Fyfe. Not that sad that it makes me feel blue
The forwards will win this. Whichever team kicks the most goals will win...unless one team kicks a lot of points, then it will be close
Our battered and sore defense should be able to hold them.....I like that tall Curnow fella...stop him and we have a better than even chance of winning.
Dardy back is likely and I pray to Purple Jesus that he kicks a few. My purple rosary beads are also been rubbed in the hope that Cox pulls his finger out...He has been a bit droopy these last few weeks.
All in all, I am excited about this one. Will be closer than one may expect.

McCarthy and Cerra will make a significant impact for us. I'm tipping McCarthy to find form in the next couple of weeks and become what we need him to be. With Lobb and Hogan both slated to return within the season we may end up with a real "purple patch", and purple is good. Cerra has been refreshed and in this game he is likely to play against his peers from his draft period. He should really make a statement.

On top of Cripps, they also lose Cunnignham who is a handy HBF/winger type for them replaced by Kennedy who I don't know much about, but I assume isn't as good.

We've got some significant outs too of course, but based on what's on paper and at home, we really should get this by a few goals - but games aren't won on paper, so I'm not counting any chickens myself.
