I don't mean if it's moral or socially acceptable, which I know it isn't, I mean is it actually illegal.

sony have posted losses in 6 of the last 7 years, and their year of profit was "only" 430 million (compared to 1.2 billion in losses last year).

can some of the more astute business types explain to me how their still operating? that just doesn't seem feasible to me.

Profit and Loss doesn't equal cash in and cash out.

They could be writing off massive chunks of good will or writing down their value of assets each year - which technically would not have any cash impact.

For exmaple - say they have a patent out on the walkman - they thought this was worth $1 billion. Next year they think its worth only $500m - so they write down its value which creates a $500m loss. But there is no impact on the cash side of the business from doing that.

I want to get something that lets me watch my tv and listen through headphones, but does it wirelessly, because a 3m cable is quite cumbersome and stupid to be honest.

I've already got a really good pair of over ear ones (with a detachable cable) so i'd prefer not to buy another one. I want something that will plug into my tv and send a wireless signal to a little doobie that plugs into my headset.

does what i just described even exist?

I remember someone I know having headphones that had a plug that went into a TV and transmitted without cords.

Not sure about an adapter like that though. Try eBay or Whirlpool (lots of nerds on there).

Essentially they would be. But I don't need a headset, I just need something that plugs into my tv to send the signal, and something that plugs into my existing headset to receive it. If it's not a thing already, it should be

Not sure of any particular laws but I'd assume its not illegal to enter a bathroom of the opposite sex due to various complications like those that are disabled and may have a carer of the opposite sex, or mothers with young boys (and vice versa). It's more just an unspoken rule that you don't go in I guess.
