Depends on the bank and what sort of card you used. Credit cards approx 48 hours although the public holidays may have pushed it out. Debit cards up to 10 days.

Call the hotel and they will contact the bank for you.

I say let it go, but I never like to let money come between friends. If I'd ****ed the phone up I'd at least offer to pay, but if the friend doesn't, you've gotta weigh up if you think the request could cause problems. What's more important to you--the phone, or your friend?

In both examples, the phone destroyer should be offering at least 50% contribution to new phone if they arent a shit human. 100% if they are a good person. Accidents still have consequences

They were drunk- and we were warned not to go near the pool area but we ignored those warnings.

I managed to clamp onto a the fence and managed to avoid going in, but she didn't. I think he coughed up the money in the end tho.

A. Try your Home & Contents Insurance if you have it.

or

B. See if you can pay out your contract and get a new one.

or

C. If you own it outright you can now get Samsung 5 and Apple 5's outright for $499.

For the hassle and dodgy-ness of having it 'fixed' and still expecting it to work, I would lock in C. Eddie.

It works, honest. Like I said I could re boot it and it worked for a month or so but the battery drain made it only half a day.

Another is to use those gel bags that come in electronics boxes etc; they remove moisture.
