If I had two containers full of the exact same amount of water in a room where the temp is a constant 20 degrees and container A has chilled water at 0 degrees and container B has heated water at 40 degrees which hits room temp first, and why?

There are two people competing in a sprint, one is considerably tall, the other considerably short. They both take off at the exact same time and running the same speed. Would the taller individual eventually win the race due to taking longer strides?
No. They're going the same speed.
Technically, he may win just from that bigger stride at the start. That would be the only gap though.
Yes but eventually, the taller guy would end up edging further in front.
Why's that? If moving at the same speed it doesn't matter. If you're driving a go-kart at 60 km/hr vs a truck at the same speed, the truck doesn't win because of bigger tyres. When in motion the speed is equal.
If the runner is gaining ground he's moving faster.
Well because the shorter person is taking smaller steps? Don't get me wrong, I know it sounds stupid but I've been racing a friend who's taller and we run the same speed but it feels like he's slowly gaining more ground because he's covering more ground from his running gait.

Provided the containers and volumes are identical (same surface area, material, etc) they should reach at the same time.
If I ever drive trucks again, this will be my excuse when the cops pull me over on their motorbike. I was doing the same speed as everyone, but because I'm bigger I was gaining on them.

I did! My rugby club membership. The Rebels have farmed it out to a 3rd party this year and didn't tell us.
