I seem to recall the suggestion that Sandilands and Pavlich (at least) were both held back and probably would have played against Geelong, if it had been a more important game. All four, along with Spurr, played the following week against St Kilda.
Yep that's a suggestion, definitely not true though.

Our discipline in the 3rd quarter was terrible.

We embarrassed ourselves last night.
Also, I thought the hawks tackling was the worst I've seen it for a while - roos players seemed to break tackles at will, it was really strange.

It's tempting to chalk this up as an anomaly, but they'd need to come back and win next week playing the brand of smart, incisive footy this team is capable of.

When that guy talks about Freo he makes my posts about the eagles look fair and balanced in comparison.

I think those finals losses have scarred him.
It's mostly because of Lyon though, I know Lyon isn't well liked but I don't understand why Geelong fans in particular are so butt flustered over him.

But yeah CMIA is a bit rabid even for a Cats fan, ignore list material esti.

You seemed to more direct and score a lot more easily than North, win a clearance it would be inside your 50 and you looked like scoring everytime the brainfades and lack of discipline cost you in the 3rd.
Totally agree.

It was their lack of composure that lost them the game.

North have no right to feel proud of their effort.

Our tackling has been poor all year.

Sure am. The fact you beat a depleted and overwhelmed Hawthorn last night means dick. I saw last weeks game also. Hard contested footy gets north every time.
Yeah, because it's not like we were missing 4-5 of our best 22 last night. But stay arrogant :thumbsu:

Mullet, Ziebell, MacMillan, Tarrant, Grima and Wells were there in spirit (dat shinboner spirit), so we were full strength. Also Hawks were coming off a 6 day break interstate trip in the wet so they were flat footed. Oh hey, we were coming off a 6 day interstate trip in the wet too. But still, Hawks had an off day, just like the rest of the top 4, which apparently only happens against North. :p

Well Collingwood is finally cooked for top 4, it just isn't going to happen.
Never mind top 4, Adelaide could be looming in the rear view mirror.

I think the Pies will make finals comfortably, but if they happened to lose to Essendon next week and Adelaide beat the hawks things start to look sketchy.

first off, on most Bigfooty stuff, you have to take most things with a grain of salt. That said, I truly think Lyon is a fraud. His gameplan will not only NOT win premierships - but he then will leave your club in a screaming mess. He is a morally bankrupt man in many ways. So its not that i hate Freo, or even him. I just have zero respect for both Lyon and the Dockers. Even the way they recruited him. Yep well done its a ruthless business. But that doesnt excuse morally bankrupt behaviour. And the Dockers 20 years have shown completely unprofessional and laughable standards in recruiting, drafting and player management. So for mine, they needed to go out and be the best in every way - yet they continue to spud it up. And this current list, is a Pavlich/Sandi/Macfarlane retirement away from being mediocre for another 10 years.

No this post will no doubt be met with arrogant indignation from various corners, and thats fine. If you posted this about Geelong I'd huff and puff. But deep down you know your club are run by muppets. And come the end of september, history WILL vindicate me again, just as it did last year.

Thanks for the compliment - I really need it. Most Bigfooty Hawks fans need an education from Brainiacs like yourself...rife within the Swans community.
Most Hawks fans need an education full stop.
Greatest bunch of whining losers you'd ever see, despite a flag in 2008 and. Clayton's flag last year.

I will say it again. North can make the top four.

Lose to Geelong, and win the rest (yeah I know, in my wet dream), and I think we will be in.

We might be poor, we might be Norf, but we are a chance.
