Now as the son of a railway man and grand parents I strive for on time departures.

Therefore I make no apologies for slamming doors on Geelong and Western Bulldogs supporters to ensure the train I'm a passenger on departs on time

Make it literal, Dogs could use the exercise and walk back, is close enough, cats get free chiro. Everyone wins.

What's the battery life like Saintos?
Getting a decent sqm mowed?
Im a bit of a ryobi head Am getting the handheld air pump skin tomorrow
You inspired me I went and got the air pump but not the pistil shapes one. It does air beds and tyres. It’s actually a very good thing.

I bought one for the bike at aldi, has all the attachments for beds and stuff. Works great on the bike tyres.
Pumping up the right bike tyre pressure using a cheap hand pump is a pain in the arse.

Any of you gents or ladies own Electric cars? Thinking of flicking my 2019 Golf R and getting a Tesla Model 3

Watching from at the moment. If you loved lost you will love this. The only problem is nearly every character has bipolar. The writing of these characters is a little strange. Highly recommend for lost fans though.

I grabbed the gun
Not bad
Got the wheel barrow two sack trucks and car tyres all done easily
Granted the car tyre takes a bit but it is a handheld

Gringo is your Tesla man, his inlaw's have an S and it sounds magnificent.

Personally i could easily live with an electric car for my daily commute, but i'd need to hire something different several times a year.
If i was still married it could easily work as a second vehicle.

Pro's they go good , they don't burn petrol.

Con's , they are actually a pretty small car inside for the money. Even the "cheaper" MG electrics cost $50 000.
Not sure about resale values.
Most of our electricity is still from coal, especially at night when they are charged.
You can buy green energy, but at night they still burn the coal, they just blame some other guy who didn't buy green energy.

Id love a tesla.
Ludicrous mode, bring it on

The Rivian ute looks ok and the Lucid cars look awesome

Yeah they’re ****en fun to drive. Beating expensive sports cars at the lights never gets old.

Too expensive still imo unless you’ve got cash to burn, but lots of people spend more on cars than I do.

Test drove and ordered a Model 3 today. 9-12 month wait. They are a bit smaller inside than i expected. Cool to drive though.

I've never been in one, but to me they always looked a bit small and the swoopy styling made rear headroom look concerniing, but like i said, never sat in one.
They look around the size of a Mazda 3 to me.

For those interested, the national anthems are being sung for the boxing match now.

edit

the crowd loudly and proudly boo'd the American national anthem lol.
Such an awesome experience. Felt a lot closer of a fight at the stadium. Shivers when Kambosos came out to the bouzouki and the Greek anthem. Surrounded by thousands of Aussie Greeks. Even though he lost it makes me damn proud of my heritage. Coming out to these two songs...was just too sick

Took a bunch of videos but this was a decent enough pic just before the start of the main event.

My in-laws have a model 3 and have a big one on order. Best fun to drive of any car I’ve been in. I can’t wait to drive the new one when it arrives. The build quality is just okay but the driving is incredible. I wanted to hate it.

My mum has had two Prius hybrids and now has a Corolla hybrid. I thought they’d have no resale and batteries would be shit but never had issues with any of them.

Were the top decks entirely empty?
Yeah on purpose though. There would've been about 55,000 there maybe? The first two levels were full, and then those on the ground probably made up another 10-15k?

Great atmosphere and experience though. Definitely going to the rematch.

I love my Golf R. It's a subtle looking little beast. It's costing a lot to run though.

I was really happy with how the Tesla drove. I'm all in on it now. I just ordered the rear wheel drive one. It's still pretty quick. With the used car market being as it is I'll be out of pocket around 12k for the Tesla after selling the Golf. It won't take that long to make that money back in what I save on fuel and servicing etc. They're harder on tyres though.

I reckon with petrol prices being as they are the next few years will see a huge increase in EV's.

I saw a Hyundai Ionic 5 on Friday. It took me down a path of looking at what was out there in the way of electric cars... by Sunday I'd ordered one lol. I'm like that though.

The Korean electrics look so crappily built and pretty ugly too. The in-laws have the single motor Tesla and it's still got take off torque like you wouldn't believe. They are like driving a go cart. Weird letting go of the wheel and it steering still and not braking to decelerate it kind of strange when you get in one at first.

The worst part for the father in law was getting a battery for home and cable in the holiday house to store the solar to feed the car after already putting in a huge cable to charge the car before buying a wall battery. That stuff added up. Probably cost close to the car by the time it was all done but it is all free now and no matter what electric he buys he's set up.

I wouldn't think that would be the case. The build of Korean electrics would likely be similar build standard to their ordinary cars, which is approaching Japan levels.
The USA including Tesla don't have a good name for fit/finish and it seems unlikely that building the Tesla in China will improve that in the short term. Tesla aren't put together like a Toyota, but rest assure they are way better than your average Chrsyler/Jeep.

These ones are not all available in Australia, but its not build quality that rates the Tesla higher, and unlikely to be.

Korea is renowned for make things with inbuilt obsolescence. I have noticed you don't see many older Korean cars around and the neighbours EV6 looks decorated with very cheap plastic body components. Tesla has a sort of cheapness looking like it wants to be quality but nowhere near as shit as the Kia.

Im sure there are a few scratches and cosmetic deficiencies on the surface of the SN20 and the Falcon 9 stages but hey its SpaceX and they keep on keeping on ...lifting off and landing. Beats the shit out of Formula 1 as a selling point. Tesla is ELON and thus you aren'tr buying the trash on the surface...one day yeah he will have to compete in terms of 'finish' but at the moment he and TESLA are way way out in front!

Samsung stuff is pretty good quality for the $ I reckon.
