Given your age, Gorrilaz surprises me.

I guess most of the really good acts are in wheelchairs now.
( I saw Phil Collins just before quarantine, and damn it he was close to one ).

Its getting kind of scary. Poor old Roger and Pete didn't get their wish.
( The other band members did ).

Albarn is only 8 years younger than me. Was an early adopter of rap, had the 12 inch single of Rappers delight about '79, always loved music with a lot of bottom end so Gorillaz suits my tastes, never liked Brit pop, Blur or Oasis, more a Madchester fan Stone Roses and Happy Mondays.

Collaboration music that Albarn does is great, from Beck, Elton John and Robert Smith to Moonchild Sanelly, Chai, and jpegmafia.
Don't get stuck.in a genre or age bracket, also loved Daft Punk, not a fan of the stuff like Mac Demarco.

Now Stone Roses is one i really did like.
I went a bit non-commercial and alternative from the 90s on, when mainstream seemed to turn to crap.

Interesting answer in the Pocket Profile.

Amazing. I found out today that the term "dick broom" is slang for "moustache". Perhaps Darragu can add that to his vocabulary too.

Matty Parker has decided to go back to WA with his young family effective immediately. Wonder if the Eagles or Freo will give him a gig? Presumably he'll go back to the WAFL and do reasonably well there.
There was something likable about the guy. Thought he went okay at times. Wish him well.

Tigers are cleaning house. He's probably been told there's no new contract so he booked a ticket straight away.

Looks that way a bit.
He's one of those guys that's sort of between the levels. Goes well in the lower leagues, but can't quite get it done at the top. Handy depth type player. Anyway, he's probably done...pretty rare to get a third shot.
He had a crack though, can't knock him.

Jesus , even Fraser Gehrig kept his aim away from his own mouth.

One of the great Aussie headlines "Todd Carney urinated into his own mouth – but he only hurt himself"

To tell you the truth I'd rather teams don't get involved in opinions , religion , politics , race , gender - etc
Soon they will be kneeling like they do in the states.

Just play football , have a couple fund raising games fine.

This one was a major **** up. It went from the club trying to be good guys in the community to a divisive shit show. Finnis might love a cause but at least he hasn't backfired like these guys on any of them.

I'm the same. It's good to show solidarity with minorities but I'd rather the players did it as their own thing. The Saints players at the pride march and happy do it in their own time means more than a round or club imposed cause. Players doing that though then risk the opposite effect where if they support Margaret Court's church they might campaign against the same causes and end up reflecting badly on the club.

I support the AFL's stance on racism and their efforts to change the dialogue but there is a point where every round having a cause waters down all of them. One's like MMD and cancer fundraisers are fine because they are genuinely universally supportable.

I’d start stabbing if I was at a “Mormon Dance” for too long too I reckon

I'm pretty sure that will be what his lawyer will say in court and most of the jury would probably agree.
