I'm driving to that game with a mate, His mum and his brother.

I so want him to scrunch up my 10 buck bet on the Hawks
The last time I went to a Hawks game with a mate, his mum and his brother was Round 12, 1999.

They all wanted to leave at half time but to not ruin my day they sucked it up and stayed for the 2nd half...

At least you put money on it so the ending will be win/win.

I've told this story on here before, but I went to that game with my dad (Saints of course), and my Nan (Hawks). I remember sitting on the Waverly bench seats giving Nan shit for the whole game, and I'll never ever forget, After the Hawthorn comeback and their win, she didn't rub it in at all.

Made it 10x worse.

Giving ya nan shit hahaha ****ing hell.

She wasn't angry at you...she was just disappointed.

If she put any effort in, I could have easily been a Hawks supporter. She respected my dads decision too much to rock the boat lol.
I can only imagine how my life would have turned out, had I been a Hawthorn supporter instead.

You'd be happy but have no character. Swings and roundabouts.

Went with my Hawks mate and every time we kicked another goal I'd ruffle his hair which was giving him the shits, he laughed all the way home. When we go to the footy now and the Hawks kick a goal to go up or against the play he still ruffles my hair to remind me of being a **** head. He's had a few times where he was lucky I'm not a violent person. Nathan Thompson used to talk about depression but his game that day gave me generational trauma.

Don’t think I bought a ticket on public transport until I was about 25, fare evading has always been the way the kids travel

I bought a literal ticket as my phone was playing up last night, got to Flinders, they let everyone walk though anyway, on the way back, ran into PSO's but I had managed to fix my phone.

Given it was only a $4.60 trip, the $10min top up is criminal, evaders have it in the right.

Just amazing from Crawford, one of the greatest of all time. I had it the same as Farhood on the scores before the KO

Spence 10-9, Spence 10-9
Crawford 10-8, Crawford 19-18
Crawford 10-9, Crawford 29-27
Crawford 10-9, Crawford 39-36
Crawford 10-9, Crawford 49-45
Crawford 10-9, Crawford 59-54
Crawford 10-7, Crawford 69-61
Crawford 10-9, Crawford 79-70

Watching back the UFC stuff from today, Kevin Holland was unreal, complete domination.

Haven't seen any of the other fights just yet.

Just finished them all. Lewis looked superb, hope he gets another contract from the UFC.

Poatan looked like he belongs at LHW, much easier to make weight and looked healthy out there.

Ferguson's career is like a Greek tragedy, 6 straight losses and hasn't won in over 4 years now. Really needs to just give it away, I remember an incident where he was acting very out of character and violent towards his family last year or the year before. Some were saying it's a sign of CTE. Hope he knows it's time to call it quits.

And Gaethje with a signature finish, unreal. Happy for him too, one of those guys that was good but never became champion - gets his shot now.

And one more thing - over the last year or so I've really come to respect fighters who aren't about any bullshit. Get in there, show respect to your opponent and be gracious in victory and defeat. Give it everything and have some class.

Can't stand guys like McGregor anymore, and with that said - Poirier has quickly become probably my favourite guy in the UFC now. Guy shows up every time, doesn't need to humiliate his opponent, and has total respect if he gets beat. Guys an absolute role model and what fighters should aim to become.

Was an unbelievable day of fights, something I don't think I'll ever forget - and headlined by guys in their respective sports that are the types of fighters I enjoy. Both boxing and the UFC could learn from these guys, don't need to talk trash to sell a fight.
