Without diving into spoilers, the scene when Alex's dad comes over for dinner in the trailer was something I realised I had seen WAAAAAAY too much of when I was a younger bloke visiting certain mates and their girlfriends.

Without knowing the specifics i can't extrapolate a suitable answer.

There is a list of 70 spaces that need to be filled.

Options A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I each have a 40% chance of making the list (A 40%, B 40%, C 40%, etc)

Options J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R each have a 30% chance of making the list (J 30%, K 30%, L 30%, etc)

Options S & T each have a 10% chance of making the list (S 10%, T 10%)

40% of 70 is 28, 30% of 70 is 21 and 10% of 70 is 7 so obviously 70 spaces doesn't fit into every option having 28 spaces (40%) assigned.

I guess it's weighted probability or something but I'm trying to find a way to adjust the data so each option is weighted accordingly.

Its probably possible to throw together a spreadsheet.
Random number generator multiplied by the percentage , =rand()*40 for example

Then when you do it for each data, the 70 highest get in.
Not sure if the probabilities come out quite right.

Prefacing as a RFM opener here and best defense is batting down the order where people expect SFA with a stick....

The general ball is an outswinger and in this match the length is a general driving length given the amount behind the wicket, so you shoulder arms on the 4th stump line when you consider that it's an outswinger early on to see how the ball reacts in the air and follow it through as new to the wicket. How much deviance, how much seam how much air, was the bounce true blah blah. Green got unlucky that it was early and he misread it like a boss.

Actually preferred that as it showed temperament as opposed to say Labs "I'm going to take this half track and smash it straight to point" approach. Sometimes you just get the right ball in the right place and shit happens, and some of us were very good at shaping as an outie and swinging in instead.
