Can't see her losing many matches this year if she keeps playing like this, she must be scary to come up against.
needs to learn to love the crowd. She can sometimes let all the pressure of being the favourite get to her. Needs to learn how to harness it like Kokkinakis and Kyrgios do (without being a dickhead of course)

You mean a "campaigner", right ?

Edit: I don't really get the whole "campaigner" thing (an all-BF adjective I know) but I'm
somehow thinking it is code for "campaigner" ? Am I right and if I am, am I wrong ?
Any input on this posting conundrum ?

I removed the dashes for you and this is what the swear filters threw up.

But for me campaigner just means campaigner because I type out campaigner in full each time.

Sometimes you just have to laugh. Update on my family issues. Funeral was supposed to be next Friday but on Tuesday last week mum broke her hip. Had a hip replacement on Friday now stuck in the covid ward at Frankston hospital. Can’t have visitors so the family haven’t seen her since dad died. Now weeks of rehab then the funeral. The saints could still win the flag before we bury him.

Hard times P66. Hope your mum is ok. Broken hip, but grieving alone is terrible.

Hope thinks come together.

Hmm not going to agree with that. I grew up playing tennis and actually played at a decent level, absolutely loved it except spending $$$ on rackets due to my McEnroe temperament. I just for life of me cannot sit there and watch hours of tennis, I get bored after about 15 minutes.
I played a lot of tennis including a lot of pennant, I’ll watch games here and there and I love Wimbledon but can’t sit through too much. Personally I think the games become less attractive and harder to watch buy hey I’m getting old so I liked old style football as well.

The trouble is that sports are designed to be great fun to participate in.

When they become perfect.....
Basketball simply moves from one end to the other.
Soccer fails to score.
Formula 1 racing all drive in order of fastest to slowest .
etc
etc

So the annual 'Australia loses trillions of braincells' TV event, MAFS has hit our screens.
Three of us sitting in the loungeroom watching it, reading our phones and sharing mean tweets.
What a time to be alive.

Not seen a single second of it, nor on twitter, waiting on on south africa to stop raining apparently for cricket myself.

Isa Guha is lovely in the interim.

I’m not one for punching down - and pardon the pun, but I’d give Dylan Alcott a good floggin’
I used to work with a guy who's girlfriend was his media manager and from all reports the guy is an ego maniac. Gets around like his shit doesn't stink.

Yeah he's got a big ego, has largely earned it though tbh

If you were disabled kid he'd be the kind of role model that would make you get around with a bit more self esteem. He's a good media performer too. Celebrity turns a lot of people in to massive dickheads, he's just expected to keep his head down because he's different. But then I like Kyrgios too.

having been through this recently plug. i hope you guys are there for each other.

best advice i got given: "you never get over it, but you get used to it" you cant ever get over losing someone, but the pain does get manageable, if that makes sense. early on i was a mess, but as the weeks passed i got more functional. there's still the shitty moments, mainly when i am alone with my thoughts which tends to be when i drive.

if there is a silver lining it has brought our family closer together.

stick in there mate!
