Really is nice to be reminded of what an insipid, whinging, elitist bunch of snaggletoothed skin ghosts their lot are.

Cricket is mostly dead to me but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching the last few days unfold![]()
Don’t care what anyone says, if you leave the crease when the ball is live - fair game. That includes the non striker trying to gain an advantage when the bowler is running in.
Never understood the opposition to the mankad. Stay in the crease, simple as.
Yep, always had one foot in the crease. People should listen to me too, my highest score was 42.I was always a neurotic batsman as a kid, I'd rather be safe than risk getting made a fool of. * them, even when you did step out you'd know there was a risk.
IQ score?Yep, always had one foot in the crease. People should listen to me too, my highest score was 42.
You've used that one already. Try again, Einstein.IQ score?

Just on mankad, I don't like it as in the motion of bowling as a RFM, if in motion I just don't release the ball that's unsportsmanlike unless I have stuffed myself up, as everyone and everything in game means as a bowler, I am bowling that ball. If I then notice that the batter on the other side of stumps is walking with me, that's fine and dandy as I have 10 other players around that can try and stop him outside of myself for then not having the other guy tonk me anywhere in particular. My first thought isn't "he expects me to release this ball, I just won't and will flip the bails and lol at him" that's not in the spirit of being a sportsman, that's gaming the expectation of a fair game.
What Carey did, 100%, that's on Bairstow for just assuming the ball was dead without even bothering what the umpires thought, so if you're at that end, you wait for goddamn confirmation, but that's at the summation of a ball being bowled so the ball is live, I do not consider the ball as live until I, as the bowler, have released it, into play.
That's the issue I have with mankad, as I am holding it top of my run up and as I am in the process of bowling it, it is not live, it is in my possession and I am behind the umpire, I am not live to mankad that inattentive batter.
No they can't, I mean they can try; Some non striking batsmen take the piss though. They are halfway down the wicket and should be made accountable. I never got why it's such a taboo.
38.3 Non-striker leaving his/her ground early
38.3.1
At any time from the moment the ball comes into play until the instant when the bowler would normally have been expected to release the ball, the non-striker is liable to be Run out if he/she is out of his/her ground. In these circumstances the non-striker will be out Run out if he/she is out of his/her ground when his/her wicket is broken by the bowler throwing the ball at the stumps or by the bowler’s hand holding the ball, whether or not the ball is subsequently delivered.
38.3.1.1 The instant when the bowler would normally have been expected to release the ball is defined as the moment the bowler’s arm reaches the highest point of his/her normal bowling action in the delivery swing.
38.3.1.2 Even if the non-striker had left his/her ground before the instant at which the bowler would normally have been expected to release the ball, once the bowler has reached that point it is no longer possible for the bowler to run out the non-striker under this Law.
38.3.2 If the ball is not delivered,
- if there is an appeal, the umpire shall make his/her decision on the Run out.
- if there is no appeal, or if the decision is not out, he/she shall call and signal Dead ball as soon as possible.
- the ball shall not count as one in the over.
