Same in England. I don't know about Australia now but free to air channels never have old shows on in France, mores the pity. I tried looking for something the whole family could watch last week for my wife and I and our young kids. New shows come in two flavours, stuff exclusively for kids which is ultra irritating or stuff that's a bit too dark or not really appropriate for kids.If it was on Australian TV we would have played it until the 1990s. There were a few shows that ran on repeat for about 20 years. I dream of Jeanie, Gilligan, Munsters, Bewitched, Goodies, Monkey, Battle of the Planets, Speed racer, Warner brothers cartoons etc. We had a about 8 hours of broadcasting a day in the 1980s and most of it was the same show on repeat on 3 networks that turned off at midnight. *, you whipper snappers don't know what boredom is. We used to go and sit in the gutter and stare at our shoes for fun in those days.

When I was a kid, I found old shows fascinating, a window into another world. It's a shame kids these days can't easily access that.
the Fall guyWe watched the Goodies which was probably 20 years old and I remember it had cultural references that were very British and very of another era but we never cared. Dr Who was like that too. We were still pretty much a colony at that point.
The mid to late 80s introduced US television and we got stuff like the A-Team and Knightrider which were absolute trash but at least were fresh and recent.
I would have thought that my age was apparent from the fact that I can actually spell, like you and a few other people here who bothered to have a good education.
Well to oos they were shoe. They were plastic bag full of hot gravel and razor blades that Dad tied around our feet, but to oos they were shoe!!Ohhhh so we had shoes now did we?
Probably means something filthy on Urban Dictionary these days.I actually got banned some years ago for calling somebody batfink on the main board. Got 6 months for it.
Even better in personWW2 From the Frontlines on Netflix is very very good

I had the back neighbours last Sunday night have some heavy bass music playing.Still warm in Caulfield North. The neighbours have some doof doof party going on so can't even open the doors when it does come. Unless they come around with some ketamine and I can go start a super spreader event it's not on.
the Fall guy
Is the garlic out of the garden too? Home grown garlic has been a real game changer for me, so much better than what you get in a supermarket.
Uh huh me tooAs a young guy in my early teens I was not much of fan of that show when it was on.
I was, however, a very big fan of Heather Thomas in a small bikini standing in between those saloon doors.......
Yeah everything homegrown, except the bread and olive oil.Is the garlic out of the garden too? Home grown garlic has been a real game changer for me, so much better than what you get in a supermarket.
The cool weather roots my knee. Blown up like a poison pup, and I can barely walk. Need to move to Qld, but can you imagine living with those smooth brained right wing racist yokels? Would rather limp around in the great progressive state of Victoria for 6 months a year.Loving it
Went from 39 and overcast humid as hell to rain and 18 today
Lovely
I've got an olive tree fruits like the blazes, too much work to do anything with them.Yeah everything homegrown, except the bread and olive oil.
