Just spoke to a solicitor to check about probate things, then viewing later today then funeral tomorrow.

Now an hour of cricket, hopefully, than viewing...

Viewing was a weird experience for me.
When i saw my mum off last year, to me i was looking at a body, not a person. The person had gone.

To me the body without the person was just weird.

Seeing that brings back some memories , a group of us from work were staying at the place in the photo for an end of year team building ( Piss up ) and after 900 beers late at night the dirty dancing song came on and one thing led to another with me running at one of the guys from work , He is a huge bastard and when i jumped for him to catch he didn't get my waist and instead put his thumb through my rib cage, I knew straight away I was in trouble as he proceeded to throw me up into the air over and over , each time his thumb making it worse and worse

Ps , this is just outside Geelong ( Yeah hard to believe )

I went through that with mum when she died almost 9 years ago as was more closer to her than the old man so it was more starting to talk as if she was there. knowing she wasn't and it being a surreal sort of experience.

With this one was more quiet introspection, making sure the younger sister was OK as she was the one closest with him, also, his sister was there, so making sure she was ok as well, then after that was done when is best time to chat with older sister about getting documents back that I'll need to buy out her share of the estate.

So I'd say conflicting emotions at present is probably apt.

Englebert Humperdink is doing a last tour.
Anyone here old enough to want to go and see him.
Come on , you won't be ridiculed.

Tell me when will you be mine. Quando Quando Quondo Quaondo.

Seriously all those good artists died young, and bloody Englebert had to keep going.

Poor man’s Roger Miller

Single digit numberplate are always insane but that's proper insane.
There's a Victorian one running around attached to some old clunker of a car. The plate is worth more than the car i think.

In one of Billy Thorpe's books , ( sex thugs and rock n roll i think ), he talks about him and Roger Miller going out and getting totally munted.

Only 56 when he died. But i can go and see bloody Englebert humpadink if i want.

I have the very same thoughts about your twig legs carrying that massive ego around
I'm surprised you're still able to carry that massive chip with those brittle golf conditioned legs of yours, turbo.

No chip needed when you’re this awesome

Being this awesome and still being a man of the people is quite an achievement
