I don't care about climate change too much, but I don't see why removing pollutants is a bad thing lol, who wants to breathe that s**t in? People piss and moan about wind farms killing birds while ignoring the impacts a coal fired power plant has on everything around it.
What's wrong with making the local environments a little nicer by removing crazy pollutants?
I strongly support Nuclear Power, too. Australia is the type of country where Nuclear Power is a no brainer. We don't get tsunami's, we don't get too many earth breaking earthquakes. Nuclear Power Plants are almost too good to be true, except the soviets ****ed that up.
Yeah tend to agree with all that. I suspect we missed the boat on nuclear power, like all high-capex long-term-payoff investments it takes someone with balls to get it done, and we haven't had pollies with balls for decades.
We should definitely have a nuclear waste disposal industry. We have some of the best sites in the world for it, isolated locations where there's no-one around and the geology is perfect. But again no-one has the balls to make it happen because people will whinge about minor risks, as if there aren't minor risks in walking down the street or going on a plane or supporting St Kilda or whatever.
