It's an inevitability at some point. Richard Nixon looked into a UBI in the 1960s. Nearly pioneered it and if it wasn't for lefty journos catching him out the US might look quite different now.

It's a preferable model to the dole to me. It still incentivises people to work and innovate but gives a non stigmatised safety net and baseline living standard. It's become a partisan issue instead of a grown up debate.

Nah the right wing are all MAGA looneys with little education, hate filled hearts, the left has some good, but most will label you a Nazi if you don't agree with every single woke agenda.

I'd guess losing weight would make more people avoid heart conditions so the study might be flawed.

Fasting is stressful for your body but it's supposed to be the good kind of stress like exercise. Rapid weight loss can he bad for your heart.

I think it's quantity that is the issue. Processed food and low fat have snuck in huge amounts of added intake. Salt and sugar are fine, eating a months worth in day probably not so good.
