I don't really see why trans people get dudes so triggered. They aren't asking you to root them or even be their mate.

The issue arises when the rest of society is "expected" to participate in that delusion, and agree that "yes, Dani Laidley is a woman, he's just a woman with a penis and testicles".......

My landlady in the 80's in Sydney was trans, the song Lola by the Kinks is 50 years old.
It's nothing new. The only thing is it is mainly white men changing to women and that's why they have all this power. They are trampling on women's rights and second wave feminists who worked their gut out in the 70's get demonised and labelled as TERFS trans exclusionary radical feminists.
My wife hates that men are now allowed into women's toilets, she feels it is another violation of women's space. We went to the Rocky Horror show and there were these trans blokes in line to the toilet, thought, sucks to be you as I pushed past to an empty men's. My wife and daughter then had to line up with the line even longer than usual.
It is bullshit trans women would get assaulted in a men's toilet, it is just people raised with male entitlement forcing themselves on the little autonomous rights women had gained.

You have to pretend that your vote means something and that our political system doesn't suck too. Pretty much a distraction while the rich and corporations take all your money off you. The right knows that they can't win telling you that you're better off without wage protection and a safety net so tell you that trans people want you to acknowledge them as female and that immigrants and aboriginals are trying to destroy everything we hold dear. The left run around being hurt feelings about everything distracting themselves too.

Having a political affinity is just like football sides. Neither are better and the culture wars thing is a fantasy that people love to get excited about.

Gina Reinhardt and Lauchlan Murdoch funded the No campaign because Aboriginals would have rights to claim royalties on their mining interests. Then told a bunch of idiots that the blacks were coming and they did their work for them.

I’d describe myself as centre-left, that is until very recently as things have done a 180° in a lot of ways.

Imo the right are campaigners to your face, the left appear virtuous but are campaigners behind closed doors and will sink the knife in from behind. Far more insidious.

I don't pretend any of that, and that is probably why I am a big fan of minimal government. The fewer people that are misdirected into thinking they need to tell me how to get along in life, the better it is for everyone concerned. Most people in politics and government couldn't find their own arse with both hands and a torch, the last thing I need is them thinking they need to tell me how to take care of s**t that I am already very well across, thank you very much.

Minimal government is how the corporations want it. The thing is that we have just put too much focus on regulating the general public while removing all the systems designed to regulate shit that people in the past worked-out shouldn't be in the hands of private enterprise.

Guys like Trump are great theatre but they watered down shit like the EPA, dropped corporate taxes and made policies that deregulated everything from working conditions to corporate oversight.

They are not the friend of the working and middle classes. The distraction is promising to bring back some past that isn't there any more.

I rate the Scandinavian social democracies as the ideal system. It's regulated towards the people not corporations.

In the US some on the far right are pushing for anarcho-capitalism where everything is transactional and the government is nearly non existent. The rich/corporations own everything and you pay to use anything from roads to doctors. If you can't afford an operation you go into debt or die. If want a police service you pay them to come out. No wages or prices are regulated so it's a race to the bottom to see who will do stuff for the least amount. Great system if you'e rich, not so great if you're at the bottom. Sounds like a ****ed up dystopian nightmare. People in Trump's circle are big fans of it.

I wonder if you ask the scandis now how they feel about their system. Assaults and sexual assaults through the roof, negative growth rates etc.
