The left has a massive issue with identity politics. No one cares, yet they've been sucked into it and it's hard for them to find a way out.

The thing that's so funny about this US election is Trump has spent four years saying he was robbed and cheated, then starts a riot, then on the night starts saying that he's being cheated in Pennsylvania. Then as soon as he starts winning that state and the election it's like "um actually yeah this election is all good, thanks guys".

The fact that the democrats couldn't beat a guy that just constantly lies and pretty much threatened to try and start a civil war if he lost the election just shows how our of touch they are with regular people.

And the sad thing is that Labor look very similar here. Completely out of touch with people.

I heard a lot about what the right said the left were going to do about those issues, but it really didn't seem to come up much from what I saw.

What the left need to do is find a way to break the narrative that conservatives are better at managing the economy. We have decades of evidence going back to the 70s in the US, UK and Australia that indicates this is just not the case.

I feel the occupy wall street movements suddenly made the companies that own the media to start focusing on "culture war" issues as a distraction.

Back in ze day we had communal bathrooms where people were conversing with each other whilst shitting, these days we have things like diapers, largely WGAF if someone shits in a tray of litter. If they want sandy granules floating around, more power to them, there's probably a talc powder to solve that to choke on and cough immediately as dispersals still suck balls.

In any event, we're all born from a woman, we have one of two sets of appendages meant for procreation at the time of said birth because we are mammals and we don't shit out eggs from a rando orifice. Everything after that point is "what makes you comfortable in your own skin" until you hopefully grow old and die with a full life behind you.

Your goal: is to have as much fun, do as much as you can to benefit as many people as you can to leave the world a better place than when you entered it. Be it in your tiny little circle of 3 people or on a suburb, town, city, state, country, world scale just means your reach will be impressive, not that it is any more or less impressive than anyone else doing anything else.

I've always loved space, when everyone would be all painting with fingers and such I was like 'Neptune is pretty" to have a favourite colour of blue and just a fascination with it as "stormy" to then you know, get telescopes and such to try and find things. Tbh I reckon there is less then a mcg's worth of trans people in Australia right now.

I am way more concerned that mining and gas xompanies are not paying their share of tax, corporations are not paying their share of tax and oh so patriotic news Corp is not paying their share of tax.

I have maga mates who think he's serious and they say he's going to do it by slashing public servant numbers. Even if he sacks every civilian federal employee, that's only 300b gone.

Defence won't get cut, which means that around 40% of health and welfare spending would need to be cut to make up 2t.

I'm not worried because it's Elon, he's not actually going to review the budget, but if they cut 2t it would make the 2008 recession look like nothing.
