Three words:

Asus Air-Mesh.

So what was it last year, I spent 1k+ on a router so I could have not only full house coverage but also the land since there's dead spots as old wiring and trees and such. So my plan was to update modem this year and have a mesh system since modem also doubles as router to use same app as router as same mesh system as modems aren't just modems these days.

Honestly I just wouldn't use the wifi built into the modem. In my experience (though I'm FTTP now) it's better to get a great wifi setup, and hardwire a solid modem into it. Don't want to be tied to the modem manufacturer's shit wifi signal.

So I decided to laundromat last night, as felt like it, was there at closing time.

This is to say there was me, in front of the dryer with music on my phone, think it was a Queen song at the time as as I had a rando 80's rock playlist going on; and the lights turn off. Dryer was still going and I had maybe a minute left on it.

There'd be me, on security camera all "you're 40 seconds early you bastard" and then hearing the door lock as it ticked over to "close".

So I had to then use my phone torch to make sure I grabbed my things from the dryer once it finished, as the only light was from the outside bar light through the window.

Fun times.

My mate manages a business in Isa and his boss owns the building. Well the local radio station 4lm use to broadcast from upstairs. Apparently they’ve relocated to Townsville and left the console and all their gear there like they just walked out. He reckons there are hundreds and hundreds of old vinyls just left there. Was thinking of going through them but I really couldn’t be ****ed, they’d just go to waste anyway.

I don't think it got much airplay in Australia, back in those days we were probably forced to listen to Sadie the cleaning lady and crap like that. So it didn't even get much airplay on the oldies stations.
I remember hearing it in the 80s sometime, and buying the LP and just playing the hell out of it.
Easily JB's best song i reckon.

I was in the canteen at work, and a girl who works there was about to leave, "Omg its just so hot today " she's saying. " i frowned and said " where are you from originally". " Oh..Cambodia". "Doesn't it get kind of warm there"? " Oh but not like this, its so dry ".
