Just on a point;

Ukraine joined a NATO lead instance in 1994, and there was a commission in 1997 that got reaffirmed in 2002. Why do we care about 6 years later for them as a start point for friction re NATO? Why disregard the decade prior?

Then on Georgia, Georgia held a non binding referendum in which a vast majority, most say 77% of the populace went "NATO, yes please". And whilst granted this was in 2008, this was Georgia, the country, holding an internal referendum, it wasn't NATO going "oi bitch, join us or I give you a wedgie and hand you over to Russia" to force hands.

The thing that's generally missing from all these experts is actually Gorbachev, none of them mention him, none of them even cite he was there, they all use Yeltsin like Sachs does when he was the fake peace guy that stated "I want peace, I am the king of peace" as he murdered thousands. You know why no one mentions Gorbachev? Cause he flips between towing the line and going against the line where it was only spoken, nothing confirmed to it was totally confirmed and those other people are dirty bastards.

So like you, I follow geopolitics, my ancestory is actually Italian/Austrian on one side and actual convict on the other, so you know we've checked and confirmed some things from eastern, southern and central Europe from 2 gens back all the way to England and the 1st fleet.

Not sure what you're saying but no-one is trying to paint Russians as the good guys. That said the west has used communists as a helpful threat to both raid other countries and keep their own citizens in line.

Geopolitics is blood sport run by people with serious sociopathy and aligned with a military industry that profits from their decisions.

Politics is now the domain of corporate interests and people with obscene money. The US is on the way down because the greed got so bad that the parasite started to kill the organism that it needs to live.

Been locking the place up, getting a delivery today so unlocked the gate so they can enter. What happens;

I'm sitting here working away and there's a bang on my window, I look up and see the top of a head, oh it's the dumb cow from down the road, continue to work, and she just bangs and bangs. When it's obvious that I am you know talking, looking up and down from 4 screens and a laptop with a headset on, she gets the hint and waddles off back to her mobility scooter and buggers off.

Really need to refine delivery windows better...

In doing said dishes, when cleaning the very last pot.
Let me tell you, I have this over the sink rack, plates to one side carts on the end for cutlery several rows to hang things so you can drench downwards.
So as I move to pick up the pot for a short rinse-
Down comes a rando baking tray.
Right

My right elbow
Pointed bone as I was holding the damned pot.

gee it's tender, not quite bruised, not quite funny bone, but very much a "might as well have put the elbow in a door and slammed it" sort of ache.

Let this be a lesson - dishwashing manually is friggen dangerous, dare say lethal.

The wife and I tipped $100 each into one of the local online betting agencies and have been betting only on AFL matches to try and grow our deposit. We are about $300 up so far so thought it would be good to withdraw the initial deposit plus enough for a nice meal and just continue playing with our winnings. Mine is currently 68%.

Crashes twenty times a day.

Takes two minutes to reboot.

And the screen has been replaced due to being dropped three times.

I know I know. I shouldn’t expect much. But I dearly (pun intended) do not wanna go and give another sh#t load of cash to Mr and Mrs. Apple. They are doing very well without me.

Just wanna weigh up replacing the battery.

No, I am not talking about Battery Level. I am Talking about Battery Efficiency Level. It is the maximum amount of its original capacity that it can be charged to reach. In other words, when my battery says 100% on the screen, it holds only 68% of what it could have when it was brand new.

Can't speak for the phone, but my watch got down to about 70% battery health. Would constantly run out before my work day ended which drove me crazy. Eventually it got to the point where it would shut itself down after freezing, and then wouldn't turn back on until about an hour on the charger. Replaced it last month.

What iPhone are you running?

iPhone 12 mini. I suspect they are notorious, but people say all sorts of things, don't they? And when you go looking for confirmation on the web, you usually find it.
