Go & watch at the cinema the Aussie film 'Seven Snipers', great Aussie & international cast.
Tim Roth- Pulp Fiction fame.
Giving a plug for my ex-sister in law who is the director- Caterpillar Wish fame.

Is it any good? Decent effort getting Tim Roth to do a local film.

Yeah, l will have to ask her how she got him on board.
Also, Loan Gruffudd is a welsh actor
And then Aussie talents in Radha Mitchell & Ryan Kwanten
Mixed reviews, some technical issues e,g. editing & sound.
Hard to get it right with low budgets.
Im going to go watch it on Thursday up here.

As an EV advocate ( getting our sponsors version of a srunken Range Rover in June), I found this amusing

"I'm thinking of replacing my EV with an ICE (petrol/diesel) car and have some questions: 🤔

1. ICE cars cannot refuel while you sleep or directly from solar power during the day. How often do you have to refill elsewhere and is it expensive? Will there be a solution for re-fuelling at home by 2030?

2. How often will I need to service? The salesman mentioned engine oil, timing belts, and a box with gears in it. What is that? How much will this service cost - and what happens to the used oil? Is there any risk of it leaking?

3. Apparently these ICE cars stop on the brakes alone - so how long will the brakes last compared to my EV which can last over 250,000 km.

4. In a petrol or diesel car, do I get some fuel back when I slow down or drive downhill?

5. The car I test drove seemed to have a delay from the time I pressed the accelerator until it began to accelerate. Is that normal in petrol cars?

6. Is it true that petrol & diesel is so flammable that you can only buy it at a special filling station, and not anywhere like hotels, car parks, home, work, holiday parks?

7. I understand the main ingredient in petrol is oil. Is it true that the extraction and refining of oil causes massive environmental problems as well as conflicts and major wars that over the last 100 years have cost millions of lives?

8. I have also been told that you have to transport oil all over the world to turn into petrol or diesel, and these huge ships have, in the past, caused massive environment destruction by leaking oil. Is that true?

9. I have been told that these ICE engines make a noise when you start them - so early starts can wake people up, and driving a lot of ICE cars makes towns noise polluted?

10. Is it true that people can steal the fuel from your tank?

11. I've heard that ICEs are only 32% efficient at best on a highway, but they can be lower than 10% efficient in city start-stop traffic. Most of the energy is lost as heat, which seems extremely wasteful. Can this be fixed somehow?

12. The exhaust emissions from ICEs have been proven to contain toxic particulates and Nitrogen oxide which is extremely harmful. They also release C02 emissions which has proven to drive global warming and associated climate change. Can these emissions be stopped?

If I can get all of the above answered and it turns out there are no downsides to owning a ICE car, I may consider buying one."

There are gender neutral toilets at the Tote in Collingwood. They seem to work okay.

One pedal and regen driving means you hardly need brakes. EV's are like driving a dodgem car.
It's like driving a couch with an iPad.............horrible things......

All the dynamics of a housebrick.....

Lovely driving. Great cars, much quieter and smoother than dino juice pollution buggies.
The tech is fantastic and costs me zero as I have solar and a battery. $3k a year saved on energy, just from my vehicle.

Sadly nearly every new car has a big **** off pad.

Can't use your phone but can use an infotainment system.

Anyone watching Agenda Setters*? Of course we should have expected a negative story after our biggest win in 10 years and Kings successful return.

That's great!

I use an enormous amount of fossil fuel. I have whale-skin hubcaps and drive like a maniac........On weekends I add bags of cement to the boot and just drive around aimlessly to use up more fossil fuel......

Best thing my car ever did was blow the lights in the dashboard. Now when I drive at night, the only thing that lights up is the Speedo. My stereo lights turn off 2 seconds after I last touch it.

I don’t want a car with a huge screen. Too bright, even if you turn it all the way down.

When I want to know if the air con is on or off, I turn the fan speed to 0 and then back to 1. I can hear when the AC unit turns on or off under the bonnet.

Even setting gps coordinates on a touch screen car head unit is a nightmare job. I’ve got a good phone mount, that’s all I need

Torrak suggests that you definitely aren't that. It's just an old school grotty pub.

I want to hate them but they are actually pretty fun to drive. The instant access to power is incredible. So much torque from the instant you touch the pedal.

All the torque!! They're electric so it's a flat torque curve........

Why is it Australia Post only send you a "How was your recent delivery" feedback survey when they deliver in their normal time frame. I recently ordered a book from Amazon, which took 9 days to deliver. It went from the Amazon Melbourne despatch centre out to Sunshine West. Then it went up to Brisbane back down to Sydney, out to Melbourne Airport, then to Oakleigh South and then finally to my Parcel Collect office.

They did not send me a survey for this delivery and they have altered the tracking records to show it was only a two day transit. Amazon despatched it on the 20.01.26 but the Australia Post records now show it was despatched on the 27.01.26 and arrived on the 29.01.26. Seems downright dishonest to me!
