This chick that I worked with around 10 years ago tried to add me on Instagram last week and I ignored it, then she popped up on chat and tried it on with me. Showed the missus, we both had a hearty chuckle, and she popped up again tonight asking to meet up. We devised a cunning plan to send her to Revs with the promise that I'd be there.

Looking forward to tomorrow's developments

Get call from nurse; "bring this, this and this." Me being all yes, no, no.
Get to emergency as instructed, get told what bed, get to bed and;
Empty.
Get told in Emergency got shifted to a ward, essentially to GTFO.
Get to reception as not told what bed in ward, stated I came from Emergency.
Lady 1: Ward # I already knew cause emergency.
Lady 2: bed I was just at that is empty in emergency.
The two look at each other.
Reaffirmed what ward and directed there, but again, no bed #, why is this so hard people?
Go to ward, ask what bed, get directed to bed by nurse there. She was great!
Find old man, he's eating dinner, literally shivering as cold. Blanket in room, so that goes on him.
Nurse stops by for a hello as if he wasn't eating dinner "hey, who are you?" to my "his son, hello to you as well. He's cold and shaking by the way."
She looks at him, looks at me, "all we've got is blankets" and starts mumbling and rabbiting off excuses and I don't care, just get something to warm the man up FFS.
Put his shoes on as he had a ped give him velcro padded shoes so they might be warmer than socks only at least, she rocks up with 2 more blankets and just dump them on him.

Northern health people.

My daughter went into hospital walking 11 years ago, came out 9 months later in a wheel chair and tube feed, I told the Doctors and the Psychs. to get ****ed took her home and got her better ourselves. Took 2 1/2 years to get her better, the hospital nearly killed twice.
Hospitals and doctors in Hospitals and Nurse unit managers are all ****ed! In my experiences.

Yeah I used to love searching the Encyclopedia for stuff like Hercules, just to confirm that he did indeed exist and kicked as much ass as Kevin Sorbo does.
Imagine my delight when I found out Iolaus wasn't just a Hollywood delusion. And just cause they likely enjoyed sharing a bed, or a kiss, doesn't mean they weren't both capable of handily dealing with the Minotaur on Crete.

My daughter went into hospital walking 11 years ago, came out 9 months later in a wheel chair and tube feed, I told the Doctors and the Psychs. to get ****ed took her home and got her better ourselves. Took 2 1/2 years to get her better, the hospital nearly killed twice.
Hospitals and doctors in Hospitals and Nurse unit managers are all ****ed! In my experiences.

They f'd his first op, bypassed from a leg to assist the heart, stitched him back up, released him with zero dressing, next minute, mad infection and bypass the other leg to fix the bypass leg and longer stay as whoopsie daisy. Made the current instance of "yeah we expanded some things in this leg and haven't touched this leg yet" a let me see the wound to see if you guys screwed that pooch again thanks cause I just don't trust you.

Thankfully this one was just a small cut near the balls on inner thigh that they stuck some things down the leg to balloon some tubing. As he has permanent scarring on both legs from the previous instances travelling the entire leg from the ankle to the groin area since old people don't heal so fast or good enough to hide scarring.

I'll note that they organised the second instance at a second location instead of the same hospital.

Gotta mix it up, you need some thick and some thin spots on the bread. Anyone spreading Vegemite across bread in a uniform manner can't be trusted

I had a Great Uncle years ago, who after having an operation in a Sydney hospital was found on a train in his hospital robe...
A couple of years later he and his wife have got a flat at a retirement village in the Southern Riverina a relative of mine got them the unit.
Uncle used to gamble, however not much few bucks on the nags and play the pokies occasionally. He proceeded to put close to a million bucks through the pokies in the local hotel. It was only discovered when they missed there monthly accommodation payment. Obviously the pub knew what was going on but never questioned it, small town as well.
The opinion was he had a reaction to the general anesthetic, hospital would have known however they never said anything.
