I''ve never had my seat taken, i see others sitting in the wrong seats ( usually because they can't read numbers ) and in most cases they make them move to the right one.

I seem to recall once, years ago, i had to put my cabin luggage into a locker two seats up from my seat.
I was not traumatized by this event.

I've flown long haul twice, twice I've had no carry on, all checked and twice I have had my seat taken by "but muh fam" groupings for at least 1 leg of that flight in excess of 8 hours.

I received a great many "good luck with that..." whilst standing at the seats in question.

My best one ever was long haul to the USA looooong ago.
We were packed in like sardines in the front of the plane thinking, this is going to be hell.
But once we were up, the captain put over the pa.
"The whole back of the plane is empty, anyone can sit where they want back there".

There had been an issue with the USA issuing visa's at the time, and for once my wife's tendency to be ridiculously overorganized meant that she had applied before they stopped issuing , we were one of the few that could travel there at the time.
I spent most of the flight sprawled across 4 seats in the middle aisles of the plane.

My flight today was 2 hours, if they stole my seat i would have stole there's. I did have a window seat , so if i didn't end up with one i might have walked up and leaned across to look out my window from time to time.
But they didn't.

I flew Bonza , it was orright mate.

I am in the planning stages of a trip. I got my passport a month ago. Trying to brush up on what to expect as a first timer is rather difficult.
Expect everyone to be a selfish piece of trash, delays, inefficient procedures, uncleanliness, uncouth behaviour and states of dress, abhorrent smells, screaming kids, fat campaigners spilling into your personal space.

That's actually good advice, then sometimes you can be pleasantly surprised.

This says that Chilli and Garlic spray is effective, which seems ironic since the aphids were on the Chilli.

Really makes you think

Personally i never doubted the existence of air ,but i like a bit of air con when that air gets really hot.
But my mother in law used to bug the hell out of me when she'd start gasping like a landed fish and go "there's no air in here" in a hot room.
She really thinks Australian builders are able to build airtight rooms without trying?

As it stands I travel a LOT for work - 8 of the past 14 weeks I have been on flights. A lot of domestic again these days, always on QANTAS, mainly because I am a platinum frequent flyer, so get a lot of benefits that are handy for someone travelling a lot (business lounge access, priority boarding, priority upgrades etc). Getting space for carry-on luggage that is within reach of your seat avoids a lot of buggering about. I always specify and get an aisle seat. I've seen the view, it's clouds. I want easy access and the ability to go to the can if I need to without having to perform a line dance.

Used to be a lot more overseas in the last job, I would do two-week trips through 3 or 4 Asian countries about 5 or 6 times a year, trips to Europe 2 to 4 times a year, etc, but I have an ABTC card, so visas are never an issue. Have only had to do 2 or 3 oversea trips a year with this job. Although next year is going to ramp up, have to spend 2 weeks on the east coast of the USA, and go back to the UK again, which has become an annual thing, with the company being HQ'd there.

For those not flying much, did you know that if a QANTAS flight is not full, a Platinum FF can ask the service staff in the lounge to "block" the seat next to them? That means I get an aisle seat and ask the staff to "block" the seat next to me, and even if you had been allocated that seat, they will move you to another seat, and leave that seat next to me empty!

So if you are trying to board and when they scan your boarding pass and it gets a red light, if they issue you a new boarding pass with a new seat allocation, that may be the reason your seat changed!

That’s annoying. If these had grown already I could use the chilli to protect the plant. Might need to go to coles and grab some chillies in the meantime.

Yeah maybe 1.5k amd GPU and CPU are better value now

I'm kind of scared of the AMD graphics.
Maybe their software is better now too.

You can buy all sorts of fancy things with lights on them, if you want to try to pad the price up. Though i can't think who would pay thousands for this sort of thing......
