When you get out to a desert and look up at how much there is out there you start to realise the chances of no life outside earth are very unlikely.

Don't even need to go out to a desert, just need an absence of light pointing up to cloud the vision.

And when you consider that all we really see is the light from those objects and not the object itself, for all anyone actually knows or comprehends, we all might be;

Voyers watching steamy snuff instances.
The perfect witnesses to any crime ever committed anywhere at any time and any place any when.
Perverts, stalkers, deja vu and the reasons ghosts exists in everywhere and when, how.
Staring at a movie cliche, how did it go again...

That's the one!
Staring at absolutely nothing, nada, zlitch, an absence as light only travels so far so fast that what cast that light might be long gone by the point it reaches anywhere in particular and absolutely nothing might have taken its place.
And all of the above, just because you look up at the nights sky to see stars and be romantic about it all.

It is kind of what makes space so wonderful for so many of us, because there is a lot of it, space, and as we know, space needs to be filled, but filled with what we dunno, and that's damned exciting to find out, biggest mystery of them all.

Of course see, as I actively shirk things as ooh space launches, go launches go, aliens come with the territory that yeah they exist in all liklihood, however, for all anyone knows or thinks, they could be right in front of us and no one could see them just because they don't exist on this plane of existence as we comprehend it or can visualise it. As again, space is vast, it can have vast things we don't know in lots of places and no places at all.

My thermo had my house at 41, or close enough to it though the BOM only showed what 39.7 at Tulla as max I think, anywho, when that storm hit I was at work obviously and there was an almighty bang from the room behind me. Now it was 41 in doors, so I of course opened all the things as gimmie air FFS, fans need air to work properly, what happened was quite simple;

When that storm hit, and winds gust to around 70km/h, the flywire screening for one open window went "IMA YEET MYSELF", got ejected from the window, pushed past the blind in front of it, flew over the table in front of the blind, touched the chair on the other side of that, twisted, thankfully away from the porcelain cabinet and rested about 2m from the couch on the other side of the room, half on the floor half on that chair it touched.

So I walked in to said room, realised I couldn't really walk past it since ceiling fan was going as well, walked around and since my front door was also open, almost slipped on my arse as when it rained it rained through the open front door onto laminated floorboards in said entry way inside.

Other people I work with lost power and had other damages reported, one person even lost a potted plant, saw it hit a fence and blow on over it.

This is to say Gringos 3ft frame would have learned how to fly regardless of the rain.

If the Universe is infinite and life happened here, its only statistically logical that life happens elsewhere.
As far as meeting or communicating that life goes, the statistics aren't so favourable.

The whole area 54 / Roswell thing is crazy though. Just the energy and time involved in interstellar travel is nuts, surely if you make the trip you don't just leave without doing anything.
Its like riding a pushbike to Darwin, waving to a guy outside the pub , then going home.

Those exotic 60s guitars sound good for a dirty sound. I bought a 60s Teisco Jap telecaster awhile ago, sounded awesome. Real RL Burnside filthy blues sound. A mate lent me a Danelectro and had that same vibe. Same guy had some old National I think it was. I had a few old cheapies back in the day like Hofner, Hagstrom and a Guild SG back when you could buy them all for a couple of hundred bucks. Wish I'd kept them all. All good for something different. A had a couple of weird Italian ones too. Lots happening on those, terrible action, tinny pick ups but looked awesome.

I had a plastic body 60's Supro Sahara that sounded like nothing else.

I love the DeArmond silver foil pickups in this one. As you say, for a raw dirty bluesy sound they're just perfect.

Bloke I used to work with had a real thing for those Hagstroms.....never got it myself. We used to bugger off from the office in the middle of the day and go trawling through guitar shops.....he was a great bloke to have as an MD......

The Hagstrom was well made, real Volvo of a guitar. Nothing exciting but built well and reliable. The Italian ones were the opposite. Real Alfa Romeos, looked the goods but always something not working or not quite about them. I had one called an Eko that looked like a one man disco, looked awesome, had about 100 switches and dials, heaps of pick ups but played like shit and kept losing bits of finish and cutting out.

I used to buy guitars from pawn brokers and the trading post, clean them up and get them working so got some great buys. Bought an SG custom from one, had punk graphics all over it but you could see the Gibson logo through the bad paint job. Cleaned it off and was like new underneath... $300. Wish I'd kept that one. Had to buy one again because I missed it.

I ****ed a lot of good guitars to steal bits off too. I threw out heaps of old picks ups and parts that would now be worth heaps. You live and learn I guess.

I actually saw something burn up as it hit the atmosphere up in the bush a few weeks ago and thought I should find some group of nuffies online to ask what it was. Don't tempt me. For a millisecond I thought it was a UFO. Really bright fast moving light like a bright star then a bright flash and disappeared. Looked a lot closer than most shit in the sky at night and looked like it was getting closer. I was about to hide under a chair and hope the dog would sort the aliens out.

I wish I could experience your life for just one day. Speaking of, I had a shameful night last night myself actually. Decided to work from home today because I was up until 4am watching videos of "mermaids" caught on camera. Right up your alley I'm sure.

It’s such an interesting perspective. I thought on it for all of 2 minutes the other day, where is the line we draw in terms of years past when looking at territory?
