Saw Metallica in 2010, absolutely awesome show. It wasn't the night when that little girl got knocked off the stage with the ball being kicked by I think Kirk, but the next one after it.

I got so drunk the night before, I got run over by a car which severely sprained my ankle. Had a massive night raising hell in Richmond. Trashed the hotel room, I don't know why.

I was gonna give the concert a miss, but my sister tricked me into going by taking me and my cousin for a drive to get dinner, parking out the front of Rod Laver and making me get out lol.

The best part was, I paid a fair bit for my tickets, and I was in the back row of the expensive spot. Because I was on crutches and couldn't navigate stairs, they let me use the disabled section which was closer to the stage.

I spent 8 hours in the Alfred (I think) waiting for an x-ray that day, they finally took me in and they x-rayed the wrong ankle. I didn't say anything because I assumed they were checking the normal one first to compare, but ended up bailing because I didn't want to stay there any longer.

I haven't bought tickets to the next show, I think I'll regret it. I might try and snag some closer to the date if possible.

The coolest thing about seeing Metallica live is being able to buy that exact concert from them. I haven't listened to it in years, but it's so cool to have that proper recording, including all their banter between songs.

Last saw them when they headlined Soundwaves. Still remember being right in front of the PA and you could feel the legs of your jeans moving during a bass solo!!!

You only just realising this now? We have two daughters that were lucky enough to make it out of their teens! It's like someone throws a switch at 14 and turns a perfectly acceptable human being into a black hole of self-centred melodrama and bitchiness. At around 17 to 18 years old the very nice daughter you once had suddenly re-appears out of the blue!

Boys are easy, they have a dispute, punch on for 5 minutes then everyone is mates again and back playing video games or footy. Girls run strategic social war campaigns that last a year, and there WILL be civilian casualties.

I maintained after the experience of raising our girls, that there should be a bounty on the pelts of 14-17 year old girls, like there used to be on fox-tails.

they go on about addressing toxic masculinity and i agree there's issues there but christ almighty right now the focus ain't where it needs to be in regards to people's attitudes. i'd kill for some of the focus to go on how Girls treat each other in high school. it's psychopathic.

"Toxic" behaviour exists in roughly equal measure in both males and females. The notion that it's a male problem is such horse crap. Like everything it's a balance and unfortunately things are no longer balanced.

I have four kids all with multiple degrees as I often remind them you think for yourself and where possible do your own research.

When those tariffs hit every US company is going to pass on the costs.

This could affect us.

We dig shit out of the ground and sell it to china and mining makes a big part of our 3rd world style economy. Having to deal with bullshit out of the worlds largest economy is not ideal.
