I see they've escaped the disputed body of water they claim to name, probably got misdirected yelling abuse at the Phillipines and decided "eh, here's good enough".

Maybe we can test putting ordinance at naval borders at a coincidental time period.

It's just 2 days so far in Melbourne but had a few hot periods this summer. I was in Japan in July and August and they were having insane heat waves. Locals were all complaining. Aussies are used to extreme weather so tend to adjust to it.

I hear you brother. Last summer we Poms had to endure three consecutive days of 30 degrees. It was touch and go for a while.

I read a guy from Texas that lives in London saying he thought that it was heaps more painful in England than Texas because the houses are all built to trap light and heat and nothing is set up to stay cool. He thought 25 degrees there felt like 35+ in the US.

That is very true, houses aren’t suitable for hot weather. On the rare occasions we do get a very hot spell, houses are like saunas, especially at night. Very uncomfortable, and, of course, very few houses have air con because we rarely need it.

A traditional Aussie home had wide eaves, you set it up so the sun hit the windows in Winter and was too high in summer.
Now there are no eaves and if the aircon dies , you fry.

The "problem" with the above is simple; between the USA, Russia and China, that equates to roughly 97% of the global total of nuclear missiles in existence. That's a bit too big to just ignore or hope it goes away.

Speaking of China the city of Chonqing is flat out one city where I would hate to navigate drunk from a bar to my hotel in.
