Speaking of China the city of Chonqing is flat out one city where I would hate to navigate drunk from a bar to my hotel in.

It's a infrastructure masterpiece but my God it looks to be hell to drive in.

China has shown very little interest in conflict. They use money to own everyone. The US is owned by China. They are owed trillions. The US would love us to get into conflict with China and they'd do a Ukraine on us. We lose but owe them all of our resources ad assets for the weapons that they gave us.

Bhutan - China indicates this is their land, illegally building and settling people across borders, putting troops there also to enforce it.
India - China claims two border regions as theirs, them and India take turns in shooting each other to hold said lands. In mind both of these nations are nuclear, China has more of them.
Obvious Taiwan here.
Japan - have stated several times Chinese jets and things needing to be "escorted" out of their airspace and them not giving one iota of damn.
SEA and Phillippines - China be poking, prodding and causing military build ups in responses to their pokes and prods.

Then you come to this;

ADF says "we were informed by commercial pilots"
Foreign Minister calls the ambassador.
Both us and NZ have a chats to see who had eyes on what and if anything actually happened as no one could confirm if actual live fire.

Russia is the obvious belligerent of the two, China positions as the supply line economic instance, but as them testing Japan, Bhutan and Indian borders, they are hardly "owning" people through money, they are power positioning with military and people just on a smaller instance to their B&R scheme.

Have been there. After a 4 day river cruise down the Yangtze. Most incredible city I have ever been to.
Bombed by the Japanese over 1000 times in WWII, first place Australia had a consulate in, in China.
The architecture is astounding and I spent my time in China being astounded.
I would go back to China in a flash.

When they wrote up the documents for their independence it was never included. Have a look at how many bases the US has around China and in the pacific. It's not China in their backyard.

Its around the half the distance from a Phillipines city as Lord Howe is from Port Macquarie.

I'd say the only thing that Trump has done well is expose the way the US has used all kinds of government organisations to manipulate foreign government and broken the wester alliances up.
