Haha, I got my uni results today. Failed a subject this sem. That's 2 subjects failed out of 8 in my first year, pretty decent considering the lack of time I spent studying.

On another note, tomorrow is my last day of my 3 week placement at an aged care facility. Let me just say, it was confronting, challenging and eye opening. but worth it.
Would you be happy with this kind of result from the Pies? I am assuming you are studying nursing, in which case you owe it to your patients to be the best you can be. Put in the effort and you will get the reward.

Let me put it this way, I was happy for Collingwood to give Lumumba leeway and time off due to personal reasons.

But I see what you're saying, I do have a duty of care and a sense of responsibility. Which is why I'll probably either take some time off next year, with the workload and get my mind right and get some decent study and general good habits going.

However, it's not like I don't know anything and becoming a nurse. I still need to jump through many hoops to become a nurse, so I do have the competenet knowledge which the university accepts.

Don't get me wrong, I am not having a go at you. Clearly, given the amount of study you are doing and the results you have obtained, you have the makings of a great nurse. If you need to sort some things our in your head then taking a break is a good idea. Getting a degree at a competent level is not difficult, but if you aspire to a higher result you will become a better nurse. Good luck and all the best!

You know you've put the work in - that's all you can do Taz

You'll do well

Besides you've got all the boards teachers reputations riding on your results as well :p
Thansk MG,

And like how you said before, I should be excited, not nervous. What ever happens, happens. These are my results and I should be excited!:D

The AFL have said they won't give the club any money until they say whether or not they are paying Hird

EFL have not made a comment either way and AFL insists they shouldn't be paying him, but it seems they forgot to put it in writing when they made the agreement.
Just a minor oversight, NOT! That club are rubbing everyone's nose in it, and a large proportion if their dim witted fans still blame only Dank/Robinson. The concepts of duty of care towards players, and good and diligent governance of all club operations are just beyond them.

I've never watched Dr Who:(
Download Doctor Who The Eleventh Hour.. it's the introductory episode to the current Doctor.. you'll love Amy Pond.. Steven Moffat is a master writer for Television responsible for Cumberbatch's Sherlock and some of the most terrifying Who episodes like Blink (Weeping angel statues that only move when you aren't looking at them) or the bone chilling children with gas masks for faces who ask everyone they meet if they are their mummy

Just make a truce and no one needs to get banned

New topic: Does God Exist :p
Not enough evidence to suggest s/he (it) does.

However, this question is irrelevant to religion.

Religion isn't about arguing whether or not God is real, it is the act of faith. I find it a bit silly when people get chuffed over arguing whether or not God is real, because it is completely missing the point of having faith.

I find it a bit silly when people believe in god :p

Believing the words of uneducated middle-eastern peasants (who were mostly illiterate) from 2000 years ago stating that they saw the laws of nature temporarily stopped so god could save them from their sins

The bible is also full of contradictions and ridiculousness

Religion is the most dangerous idea on Earth, people think religion is a source of good only but religion is responsible for a huge amount of bad in this world

Having faith can be a very strong tool. I, personally, don't believe in God nor do I think I have the capacity to. However, I wish I did, the ability to just believe that good will come if you stick it out, can be so powerful when life is undoubtedly harsh. Who cares if it is real or not, if it's real to you, that's all that matters.

Yes, religion can be put to bad use, but in the end, those are done by corrupt humans anyway, and if there wasn't religion, they probably would find something else to poison.

People who are religious, their prerogative isn't to argue the existence of God, but to have faith that someone is out there watching over them. In the end, even though you and I do not believe in God, it isn't up to us to ruin that peace of mind for them.
