I thought it was great that The Age newspaper is now being made the same size as the Herald Sun. Been saying for years that I wish they would do it. :thumbsu:

Until today :(

Absolutely useless when it comes to packing - just not big enough to wrap anything!!!

Has anyone on here ever been swooped by a magpie? All my friends are always whinging about them but they never seem to bother me thankfully. Do they just not attack their own?

I haven't but saw something pretty nasty down my street, where it looked like a gang of magpies were bullying another magpie and the one that was getting bullied kept trying to fly away and they kept swooping and pecking at it.

Sad day.

Yes sir!!

Happened to me a few years ago as I was running around the maribyrnong river one morning. A magpie swooped on my head and scratched it to the point where there was a small bleed. I turned around and it was aiming for me again, so I had to make a dash out of there quick smart.
Looked into why they do it & it turns out it happens around mating season when they are trying to protect their nests / young ones.
A colleague of mine rides into work and he continually gets attacked by them so he has wires on his helmet.
To this day when I see a magpie there is definitely acknowledgement of their space and I try not to go too close to the tree they are guarding.

Hmm so they do attack us, I figured they had an unspoken agreement with the club. I'll be careful in the future, especially around breeding times. We all know that magpies are dangerous in September.

This! I hated the ridiculous size of The Age. So frustrating and inconvenient.

The one thing that still annoys me is that a few months back they took the staples out of the side of the Green Guide, so it's really awkward to change pages. Bring back the staples!

Don't tell the media about it, as it will be front-line headlines. Shush

Haha, I don't understand a single thing when people talk about Game of Thrones. I've never seen an episode. It doesn't look like my type of show at all though.

It's like lord of the rings with better characters, a better plot and sex scenes

I've never known someone to watch the first few episodes and not like it :p

Haha, people are going to hate me for this, but Lord of the Rings bores the hell out of me.

Breaking Bad soon then Boardwalk in about a month but obviously GoT is about 9 months away.
Boardwalk! That's one to go on my downloads list! Not really a fan of Breaking Bad. It's good but a bit too morbid for me. Or more the characters are unlikeable. Especially his missus.

I've just started watching breaking bad - no spoilers plz !

Enjoying it so far, but apparently it gets better in the 2nd season.

The main character is the most brilliant actor you will see and has won pretty much every award for his performance (guy from malcom in the middle)

I must've read the books once a year from the age of 12 to about 17. Loved them, not the films so much but it was always going to be hard to do them justice.

I understand though, I've tried reading/watching Harry Potter & don't get that.
It's about as interesting to me as watching Fast & the Furious, any of them.
