I thought it was amazing at the time that the 'original' username 'Port Adelaide' wasnt taken so I took that :P

Although I'm currently pondering another change to something Ollie Wines related. I'm willing to take suggestions.

I am enjoying jumpergate enormously since gazing into my crystal ball. Consider the following: Crows flogs wearing it at SANFL games against Norwood or Glenelg, throwing it in the face of clubs that used to be allied to cowtown. Starting this year, the Cows are aggressively trying to destroy them, and erasing SA club history with their guernsey grab was just the first salvo. So much angst!

That is not a universally held view. Bruce Springsteen would bow to Neil Young in the real universe

Is Neil Young still alive?

barry manilow > all.

There is a reason why the north Adelaide residents want his music played over speakers on the footbridge, to keep the riff-raff zenned and relaxed.

Played here a few months ago. I was gonna go until I checked the set lists of his recent shows and saw he wasn't doing any oldies.

Finntroll is in adelaide soon, how did I not know this.

""Sounds like St. Patricks Day on crack" Finnish folk metal maniacs, Finntroll embark on a medieval crusade down under this June for another round of "shock and awe-someness!" "epic and crazy and strange, all at once" (Examiner) According to legend their formation was conceived when, after a heavy dose of beer and vodka, the bands axeman Somnium (who sadly left our realm for another in 2003) thought it would be a great idea to mix heavy guitars with the melodic humppa style of Finnish polka. When it still sounded good to him after sobering up, the concept was kept and Finntroll and an entire new genre of heavy metal was born. There are legions of bands who owe their folkish sound to the mighty Finntroll and while often imitated, their sound is never duplicated and they remain the undisputed genre leaders.

Their ferociously fun live show which sees them dressed completely in troll attire right down to their floppy and pointed ears is visually entrancing. Add to it their powerful death metal riffs, brooding keys, pounding black metal intensity and some super catchy 80s pop style groove and you have the ingredients for one of the most exciting and otherworldly live shows going. "the ground floor became an accumulation of amazing circle pits, crowdsurfers, dance circles and people doing little random jigs, which all blended into one crazy party of epic yet harmonious proportions" (Metal Obsession) "the infectious party atmosphere does not let up all night" (Terrorizer) With album number six, Blodsvept (Shrouded In Blood in English) Finntroll have embarked on a new musical conquest.

Under its raw and aggressive surface you will find duelling banjos and even some samba influences. The band even describe some of the songs as Beetlejuice on crack and our own take on the Flying Spaghetti Monster There is a fine line between genius and insanity and Finntroll walk it right down the middle. Finntrolls trollish hoedown metal is utterly contagious and will have their Australian fans dancing and humppaing along well into the night! "

Yep.
