Don't think that's quite right. No-one is under any obligation to like anything, but when they angrily rant about things, unprovoked, that starts to cross over into xenophobia.

There are only 3 constants in life ... death .. taxes, and people not liking change.

You forgot one, arthritis

Shut up, footyhead.

I kill you. But I like you. You live.

One eye over your shoulder Sergei, one eye over your shoulder.

I kill you.

Uhh ok? That was a bit weird.

Weird is when you are chopping a chick and her mum and dad are watching and ask if the family pets can join in.

You live in a strange world when a shut up is considered weird.

These ads can **** off.

Poor form from the Chieftain.
I'd usually agree but these adds telling me where I can find sexy cougars in my local area mean I no longer have to dash down to the Windsor Hotel on a Friday night.

Do members get discount from Energy Aust? Cant see anything on the website.

From memory there was an oblique reference to something along those lines in one of the articles shortly after the announcement, but certainly nothing confirmed yet.

I feel the same way about most syntax, grammatical or spelling errors. Even the widely used substitution of your for you're and vice versa, the hypercorrection of using subject pronouns when object pronouns should be used (e.g. 'the gift was for Fred and I' ought to be 'the gift was for me and Fred') or not using the subjunctive mood when appropriate (e.g. 'I wish I was' ought to be 'I wish I were').
As long as there is full comprehension, shit like that don't matter.

That's the selfunctive mood - should of writ 'Fred and me'.
(signed) Fred

The rule on whether to use me or I when referring to yourself and someone else is simple.

Ignore the other person and use the pronoun you'd use if it was just you

They aren't exactly short of real estate there though are they? It can be done (and has been, as shown in several mock ups).

People fear change, which is fine, but some of the stuff that's being wheeled out in opposition to names on the backs of guernseys is a bit silly IMO.

- How will the names fit?
- It's too American
- Guernsey too cluttered
- It will make players too selfish
- Waste of money (lolle)

I've seen it as totally inevitable for several years now and i've come to accept it. About 5 games after it's brought in full time, nobody will care. Just like they don't with clash guernseys, just like they don't with coloured boots, just like they don't with sponsor logos, just like they don't with night football, just like they don't with everything.

When they started putting names on training shirts it looked putrid.

This is the AFL we're talking about.

Comic sans o'er san serif incoming.

eg

"Eddie Dingle and I get really a get these days brother" minus Eddie Dingle = "I get really a get these days brother" :thumbsu:
"Eddie Dingle and me get really a get these days brother" minus Eddie Dingle = "Me get really a get these days brother"
