You'd be surprised where a lot of things come from if you checked his stools everyday, but we're getting off topic, so we better take it else where :)

Why Do...no better not, I don't want to know. Yes good idea. Back on topic...is your dog a member?

So, I don't know much about cars. I know enough through previous problems to roughly understand what a mechanic tells me, but that is the extent of my knowledge.

I recently moved house ans my car was due for a service, so I booked it into a new local mechanic that I hadn't tried before.

I was charged $550 for a major service, my last one at my old mechanic was $230. $325 of the $550 was labour, but I'd never looked closely enough at previous bills to judge if that is expensive or not. The Labour worked out to $130 an hour, and they spent 2.5 hours servicing my car.

I feel i was ripped off, was I ripped off?

You were only ripped off if you can't afford it.

If you can afford it find something else to stress about.

Money schmoney.

I think around 500 or so for a major service is about right at a reputable mechanic.

Hm. I never had a problem with my old mechanic, which is why I'm feeling PO'd I guess. I also need a timer belt kit put into it, the mechanic called me today to let me know and quoted it at $1850. I declined, and then rang my old mechanic who quoted me at $390 + Labour.

Timing belts are generally anything from 500-1000/1200 depending on the car. 1850 is definitely steep. They could use different parts as well, genuine parts at dealerships cost a shitload. I'm a sucker and always get my prado serviced at a toyota dealership. They wash my car and detail it :P

Future Music always have a good artist or two mixed in with total trash for the rest of it (like most festivals everywhere)

Aren't Phoenix playing this year? Phoenix are great.

I havent been for years but Eric Prydz, Chase & Status, Kaskade, Paul Van Dyk, Marcus Schulz, ATB, Cut Copy, Sven Vath, Dubfire would normally be enough for me to want to go. I guess it depends how deep your into your electronic music. The crowd is normally utter crap though.

Macca pls

In first year there was a incredible looking guy who sat across from me with the medium hair and beard look. Such a stunner that, well he inched out all the girls to claim best looking in the class (I'm one of those horrible people that always ranks the top 3 in my head). One day he shaved and got a haircut, and the stange new feelings I had been experiencing were gone.

Beard ftw.
Scientific fact.
