It has always amused me the number of people who use the term "falcon" without knowing it's links to Mario Fenech and his Maltese heritage.

I know this thread has gone way off topic but I just wanted to add that the bloke who goes running up to Mario in the blue jumper at the 41 second mark is a friend of mine, Mark Courtney. Wrote a great book about Souths' expulsion from the NRL during the time they were out of the comp. I'm in the acknowledgements

I move that the next time we're reading through tribey posts in the hunt for post of the year we call the thread 'The 2014 Homer Simpson award' or something of that ilk.

Look up 'Moving The Goalposts' by Mark Courtney for the perspective of a fanatical supporter. I went to South Sydney's first game upon returning to the competition and sat with Mark. Quite an emotional evening.

Loving the bunnies talk! They along with Port and Cardiff City are my true sporting loves.

I played for the Bunnies (well almost as I didn't make first grade and played more for Newtown) when I came here the first time in the late 90's.

Been a member since 1995, started 2 clubs up called Rabbitohs and make sure I get at least one game a year in as well as attending every Grand Final since I moved here to make sure I don't miss the big one .

Don't ever make the mistake of digging out the N64 to play it.

I had the misfortune of doing just that a few years ago and the gap between my nostalgic memories and brutal reality was roughly the equivalent of watching Federer/Nadal live in HD and playing Pong on a Commodore 64 via 1995 dialup.

I still play Mariokart 64 on a regular basis. It's the perfect multiplayer game. Easy to learn, hard to master, perfect gameplay. They could simply up the resolution and maybe add a few tracks and drivers and re-release it now instead of the clusterf*** that has been every Mariokart game since.
